In all honesty, the lives of his immediate family are ruined. Many people will shift the blame onto the parents, implying that they raised him to be like that. While that's certainly possible, it's also possible that the guy is a straight up nut. Should we hold his parents responsible? He apparently beat his ex-wife. Where did he learn that from?

I honestly don't think he was ACTUALLY linked to ISIS. I think he wanted to feel connected at the end of his life so he made the "pledge". After the fact ISIS has claimed responsibility, but duh that's so easy after they learn he called 911 to "pledge".
