I 100% believe you have to be mentally ill to walk into a building and murder 50 people.

I think all religions need reform, I actually think the world would be better off without any religion, but the fact of the matter is I fully understand the laws the country is based on, and those laws and the constitution make it illegal to persecute somebody based on religion. I know this phrase and thrown around a lot, but it is literally unconstitutional to persecute people by religion.

The first amendment makes your argument dead in the water. You cannot proceed with what you want to proceed with, unless you feel so strong about this you think they should pass another amendment stripping away a constitutional right from ALL American citizens and make prosecuting based on religious philosophies and ideologies an actionable crime.

And not to state a snowball fallacy, but if you give the government the right to prosecute based on religion/ideology, it will not stop with muslims.
Belief without evidence is a fools game.

Soo my cousin posted on FB this was an attack on gays because the guy saw 2 guys kissing and got mad.. but people will try and make it about religion..

I said it was about religion and a also terrorist attack. That you aren't simply born with these views. This guy was a follower of ISIS who execute gays in Iraq.. etc

They started to bring up if he were Christian his religion would be down played.. I said if he did it in the name of a radical group it wouldn't. I also said how TF do they know that anyway.. seeing this is the biggest mass shooting in US history..

Am i wrong misc brahs?

Multiple people in this thread have stated we should deport muslims and ban muslims. I don't know the first thing about the constitution? Please explain to me how those actions AND creating a religious ban on foreigners coming over is not a violation of the first amendment.

You cannot discriminate by religion, this is binding to the government and all government agents. The government does not possess to ability to ban people from coming over based on religious reasons. The first amendment would have to be amended and the government given that power for it to be possible. Your argument is dead in the water and the actions you are calling for are unconstitutional. When your argument puts you at odds with the constitution you really should rethink your point of view.

Dude I'm finding that hard to believe.

Muslims stick together. Whites stick together. Asians stick together. Blacks stick together. Hell forget race cops stick together. And we all know of racist people or those full of hate. Muslims who are peaceful for sure know of those who spew hate but they choose not to report it. You're telling me you've never met another muslim who wasn't rainbows and flowers?

This same principle applies to the police. Good cops sit there and deny they have bad cops who are racist or pos power nuts in their division. You know what the result of that is? Stuff like freddie gray. Cops would rather let a few bad apples give them all a bad name than to rat them out.

I fully believe that's what's happening to Muslims. For some reason there is this code of protection. I'm sure peaceful Muslims who knew Omar thought, whoa dude take it back a notch, instead of "maybe I should tip off someone about this". And this makes 0 sense to me because eventually its going to get bad for Muslims in the US and probably the world because a few bad apples. Look at this thread even. There is so much blind hate for every and all Muslims, that's going to keep growing and its fuken sad.

Many things are effective, it does not make the morally correct, legal, constitutional or even the right thing to do. If we made all crimes punishable by the death penalty I guarantee you would cut crime by 99%, but there are some very good moral reasons we don't kill for every crime

These actions always bring the extremist out of the wood work, there is always a threat after these actions of a 2nd fallout from some other nutjob getting all rustled up

The Eighth Amendment (Amendment VIII) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights (ratified December 15, 1791) prohibiting the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishment.

Promoting for an american citizens rights to be revoked based on government arbitration? No thanks jeff.

They've shut down a few Mosque in France. They found hundreds of AK's and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Some reports said over 1 million rounds of ammunition.

France has total gun control.
France has no Second Amendment.
France has had mass shootings.

Giving up our guns here will stop nothing.

The bad guys are already here. Some born here, some not.

No one is mentioning that the scumbag had a suicide vest or explosives of some sort. Its all about the guns. Bad people will do bad things. That is sadly a fact of life.
but why does the US have more of these bad people per capita than almost anywhere else? That's what I want to know. Or is it just an illusion?

Honestly yes I do.

I believe that there should be caliphates (or some religious leading team) that progresses the religion with passing time. Some stuff needs change (i.e. young marriages, punishments, etc) but there is no leader that really changes these things.

Islam needs a pope figure. One that actually wants best for the world and isn't radical.

Luckily for us, racial profiling is perfectly moral, perfectly legal, perfectly constitutional and absolutely the right thing to do.

I was watching Fox News over the last half an hour and even they had people on saying Obama was right not to jump to the conclusion that it was radical islam, and that was based on the fact they knew the shooter called 911 and said the stuff about ISIS... and this is Fox News. It's okay for everyone else, for you and me, including Trump, to come to those conclusions but for the white house and the president is a different matter entirely. The investigators need to carry out their work and in due course, whether its 2 hrs, 4 hrs, or tomorrow, if the FBI, Orlando police and whoever else is investigating confirms it is radical islam then Obama will come out say it.

As for blaming this on Islam and Muslims - this guy swore allegiance to ISIS. Unless you're not aware, all Muslims oppose ISIS. Even the Taliban in Afghanistan has declared war on ISIS, and Taliban is Bin Laden's crew, so that should give you an idea how repugnant ISIS is.
