am I the only one who thinks the M1 sucks? (keep your COD WW2 bias to yourself). Would much rather shoot an 03A3

and tyler, youre a fukkin lefty. I devised a slick way to load clips but if you have a bolt that is a little too excited to close then have fun with that

Hey guys I have a question.. My friends dad was killed last night. Just a small excerpt below:

"The owners of the caf were locking up when police say they were approached by a 22-year-old Diante Doby of Stone Mountain. He was armed with a pistol and wearing a white mask and dark hoodie, according to police...The victim was armed, took out his firearm and fired back," said Gwinnett Police Corporal Michele Pihera. Unfortunately, he also lost his life. But at least he was able to try to defend himself and his female companion."

Definitely not saying having a weapon is wrong or is at fault and we clearly don't know all the details of the situation but I can't help but feel that if my friends father didn't have a gun or try to shoot back, he'd still be alive.. What are your guys opinions on this?

Right in the feels brahs.. so many things deaths happening in 2016 but they keep hitting closer to home (loved christina grimmie, Orlando is close to home, my dog died, now my friends father..)

Thats a tragedy, honestly. I understand why you'd wonder about that, but we don't know what his motives were. It could've been a robbery that turned into a rape or more.

I'm not saying that you should bargain your life over a simple robbery. If it comes down to giving a dude your wallet versus getting into a gunfight, just give the guy your wallet and GTFO. But your friends dad could've prevented something else from occurring by firing back. Two (presumed by Doby) unarmed people seems like a very easy target to escalate past a robbery.

The victim already had a gun pointed at him. You are gonna lose every time. Just hand over the money. It seems like they were just getting robbed vs. assaulted or shot at randomly. The guy handled it stupidly and paid the price. People watch too much TV and think they're a quick-draw artist who has a chance against someone already pointing a gun at them. If there was more to it than just a robbery (unlikely from the facts) he should have waited for the right moment to get the upper hand and use the element of surprise.

Just because you have a gun doesn't mean you have to use it. Most robberies do not become homicides.

Its always a judgment call.

I agree. But look at its specs, it's freaking lightweight, has a built in anti rotation QD sling mount and relatively cheap for a stock. Plenty of vids on YouTube showing its durability.

They're also releasing new cheek rests and risers as well as with storage and such any day now.

I originally bought the Magpul acs-l and this BCM stock is 10x better IMO, just ugly.

It's not a good scenario odds wise, but people absolutely have won unscathed when drawing on a drawn gun. It's no guarantee either way. If you are going to draw after already having a gun pointed at you, you better pick the right time/place and do it well

Speaking of movies and drawing, does anyone else rage when a bad guy is pointing a 1911 with the hammer down and the good guy doesn't blast him?

That or it's a Glock and trigger is very clearly in the rear position the entire time...right after raising the gun resulted in a stock 'gun cocking' sound...for the Glock whose trigger isn't even ready to fire. Hollywood.

If a bad guy points a gun at you chances of noticing something like that are extremely slim.

Probably too much polymer junk in this thread. Didn't check.

Installed short reset parts and un-threaded chrome lined barrel. 200 rounds after changes so far, I like it.

Probably concerned about depleting their ammo because they know they aren't packing multiple happy sticks.

Three people were arrested when police discovered a weapons cache and ballistic vests in a vehicle on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel on Tuesday, officials told NBC4.

Authorities arrested two men in their 50s and a woman in her 30s after finding multiple loaded long-range weapons, handguns, ballistic vests and a camouflage helmet in the vehicle. The trio, who may be from Pennsylvania, was initially stopped for a cracked windshield. A search of the vehicle turned up the weapons.
