Do guys with 'tough guy' type tattoos think other men are scared of them?

I look at any person with tattoos, especially ones visible in standard day wear, to have significantly lower IQ. honestly. if you like something...if you love something....get a fuking t-shirt. or a poster in your room. water is pretty important to me and my life, and i assure you im not trying to get a sick new h2o tattoo..

Do most of you live in a bubble?
Straight up srs question since that is the entire vibe this thread is giving off.
I really do feel sorry for those who actually have an opinion against something minuscule as a tattoo while there are millions with better life than you do walking around with tats.
It's your opinion and a worthless argument and a waste of time. No one should be on the misc at all if they actually led a fulfilling lifestyle that keeps them busy 24/7 like a person should be. Yet we all have the time to fukking make threads and worry about each other.
Not one person on the misc deserves to have a valid opinion.

It seems to be a rule that the tat you get is actually the opposite of the type of person you really are. Tats are gotten based on anxiety. So, you're trying to advertise something about yourself that isn't true. You do not need to advertise things that are true.
For instance, a tall guy will likely never get a tat saying "I'm tall" because he knows it and so does everyone else.
So, signs of depression tats: Cheerful designs and cute things. You're trying to say "I'm happy" but if you were you wouldn't need to sell it like that.
Tough guys tats: They say that you're a coward or have lots of anxiety about being manly, and so on.
People who are actually tough are actually tough and don't think about it. People who know them know they're tough and so no tat is needed. Also, a truly mean people wouldn't want anyone knowing they are and wouldn't want to give it away.

Never understood the appeal of tattoos. See a lot of females with a stupid tat like a bird, butterfly, flower, heart, etc. Can't help but wonder wtf they are thinking. Most people in general just get some stupid tat. I think pure skin looks 10X cleaner/more aesthetic.

I always chuckle at the "we don't care what others think" bs. You wouldn't mark yourself for others to see if you didn't care.

Agreed with TySav. Judging someone for a tattoo they chose to get on their body because they themselves thought it looks aesthetic on them is like judging someone for wearing certain clothes or jewelry or even lifting weights since 99.9% of you lift because of "aesthetics", so it's like someone saying you're a douche or this or that for lifting weights, it's just ridiculous.. just because you don't find someone's tattoo aesthetic doesn't mean they don't find it aesthetic or someone else doesn't, it's call an opinion. but get over yourselves and quit worrying about what other people are doing just to make yourselves feel more high and mighty. Basically.. get a life and quit bitching like a little girl.

The alternative is that you admit you don't know what you're doing in life and wasted all that time and your health on that nonsense. And, I'm not saying that to me mean, but as a reality.
Anyway, questions you can ask yourself:
1. Why did I want flowers on my arm? What does that mean to me?
2. Why did I want 1700s era Japanese art on my body FOREVER? You aren't Japanese, so what does it mean to you?
3. Why did you get something "pretty" now but will look like blobby sh!t in a few years and progressively worse for the rest of your life?
My guess: Your tats are "pretty" and that means they're the opposite of how you feel. You probably feel empty and mundane.
You will feel even more empty and mundane as these things become more ugly over time. Then, they will embarrass you more and more, or you will feel like a fool for having to laser them off or cover them with more tats. That ensures your cycle of emptiness, embarrassment, etc which is the whole cycle anyone who self-mutilates goes through.

I know this dum arse that lives on the other side of the alley from me , and he got a huge tattoo of his wife's name across the front of his neck .
She dumped him a year later , and so far he's got 4K into laser removal and it's still there lol .
Another guy I knew in my home town went allergic to his tattoos years later . They had to cut skin off his legs to graft on to his arms in order to remove the tattoos .
To top it for, they closed a tattoo shop down in my home town . Guy was reusing needles and I guess there was quite an AIDS scare as some of his clients tested positive for HIV. All kinds of people running around getting tested .
