Can someone explain the surgical procedure to fix his skull now? Will they need to cut his skin open and remove the fractures then put a metal plate on?

could of been worse.
if that knee were 2 inches below and caught that nose.
would've been a wrap.

The skull served it's evolutionary purpose. Gotta question like somebody else said, why aren't the knees padded yet the hands are? Seems like unnecessary danger that could have been avoided.

How the fk was he still conscious? You'd think the shock from a traumatic injury like that would just put him out.

They are going to take out the fragmented skull pieces and reassemble them. For the larger fractures, they might wire them close. For the fragments that can't be reassembled or wired, they'll use a compound like methyl methacrylate to mimic the lost fragments. And they will ultimately probably place some type of metal mesh to reinforce his skull

So after the repairs is it safe to say his career is over?
