If you never expose yourself to any risk, you continue to live a mediocre flatlined life. Which isn't bad I guess, you just never experience real highs and lows.

If you live in fear of the worst case, you will die with regrets. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be smart and selective, but to write something like marriage off completely seems a bit extreme. That said, I'd like to find a woman worth marrying, but I realize it's unlikely.
