When did they get rid of it? That was something I was also hoping to get into, as well as competing for money.

When I was in college, I played a lot of poker tournaments at other people's houses with the occasional tournaments at the casino. I kept a journal of my winnings for a short while until I stopped recording because I never lost money. I did not have any huge winnings because I did not play online or in the bigger tournaments. It was easier pickings to play the daily tournaments and you only needed to win one and you are set for the month as a college student ($450-$1200 first place in field of 100+/_ peeps). Eventually after 3 months, I stopped getting invited to home tourneys because they were tired of me winning top 3 in the money almost every game. So I stuck to playing the casino daily tournaments 2-5 times a month and usually made it into the money every other tourney or so. It was enough to pay my bills and live the college life and I didn't have to put much time or effort into it.

I never had a huge loss because I only played tournaments and played enough just to get what I need to cruise by the month comfortably. I did not keep chasing after I got what I needed. I guess the worst thing was that I spent the last $60 I had playing a tournament that I had a huge confidence going in but got knocked out by a fluke in the first 2 hands. So I had to "borrow" money from my grandma just cuz I am a broke college student who never asks for money so they threw money in my face and was thankful they could do something for me besides laundry whenever I came home.

Lame...I know but hey at least I don't have a gambling problem or chase cards. Those days I like to play a tournament every 2-3 months when I am not busy.

At this point in my life, I am far ahead in winnings compared to my total buy ins. One day I want to be able to play in $220 or higher buy in tourneys especially a main event tournament at Tampa Hard Rock. That would be a different ball game.

Pretty awesome.

Wish I had a tournament around me with weak competition so I could dominate tables lol.

Keeping track is a good thing, I also keep track of my winnings across different types of games.

DFS player here. Biggest win was around 4k in one night. Was risking 5-10% nightly which was over 1k. Thank god NBA is done with, I was pure anxiety all day until 7pm tipoffs every single day. Left 2k to play with and took out the rest and paid off my student debt + set aside for veeners.

Must visit Atlantic City every month crew.

Literally hooked on Craps and blackjack. I probably dream once a week about being in a casino. I usually come out of AC +$100 or so. The worst I ever did was lost $250 (lol, last month). I never bet crazy. Once football season comes around, I do huge weekly tournaments. I won 2 last year, so profited around $5K. I've been betting on football since I was 12, my dad got me hooked. Always have a great record against the spread throughout the entire season.

I'm a huge fan. I've never been to Vegas, but obv everyone says Vegas makes AC look weak. AC has a good nightlife and it's always poppin. You get your mix of older and younger crowds, definitely depends on the weekend and hotel.

Vegas definately blows AC away but Atlantic city is still fun. You can goto AC with a few hundo and still have a good time, Vegas 2-3k MINIMUM so of course it will be better if your putting up bigger money.

I just rewatched Diaz McGregor I...Diaz should murk him. Conor is so much slower at welterweight. I put $25 on Diaz by sub first fight and it was 8:1 odds...comical (I also put $50 on McGregor by KO).

I don't think I'd have the balls to bring that much to vegas lmao. First off, the flight from NY to Vegas and back is gonna cost me $500. The rooms are dirt cheap since so many hotels. Don't think I'd gamble table games that much in Vegas, I'd go more to club and bet football on a sunday. Maybe put $100 on each game

Das it mane.

Sounds like with a couple hundred bankroll you can have a good time in AC, especially if you win and increase that bankroll.

Went back to the reservation casino, won $1500 playing a combo of craps/blackjack. Was tipping the dealers well making bets for them.

For all you degenerate gamblers in here, tip your dealers well during play by betting for them with you. It makes it fun for them and gives high energy to the table. Ths dealers might also hook you up by correcting mistakes made in your favor or paying bets that you forgot to make. When I finished for the night I realized I had a crap ton more comp points than usual.

It's less fun to play darkside. The best part of craps is the comraderie you get with other players. The craps table is the loudest game in the casino with all the cheering and celebrating after hot rolls. Sure the dark side has odds that are .05% better than playing passline (not including taking full odds). But you are forced to be silent since you're betting on the player to lose. Takes the fun out of the game.

I have no problem with someone playing darkside but it's a quick way to make enemies if you celebrate your wins as a dark sider when everyone lost. Darkside players tend to be the FA types which I suppose is the perfect bet for misers.

"They'll tell you failure is not an option. That is ridiculous. Failure is always an option. Failure is the most readily available option at all times, but it's a choice. You can choose to fail or you can choose to succeed. But failure is always there, and it's okay to recognize that."- Chael P. Sonnen

She now has a full house, 4's full of aces and I have a full house, aces full of fours. She checks trying to be sneaky. I check as well. After the river she goes all in. I immediately call. The look on her face when I flip over my pocket aces was priceless, I will never forget it. She was in tears. I came second that tourney and pocketed just under $2000. Best place I ever finished,
So no big raise pre flop?

Sports betting always gets me, I would make 1,000 off of parlays and live bets in just a day, put it all on the team who should be heavily favored and then they would lose. Like patriots vs raiders and raiders win or some **** like that which I never thought would happen lol. It would get to the point I would tell a friend I'm doing the big bet and he'd bet on opposite team and profit Lmao

I played Ultimate Texas Hold Em about 3 months ago (the table game version of Texas Hold Em) and hit a royal flush.

I had 10 dollars on the ante and it pays 500 to 1, so I booked a 5k win in one bet.

I then hit a 4 of a kind bad beat a month after that. It was 4 kings on the board and I held an ace and beat the dealer's kicker. I had a 5 dollar bet on the bad beat and that also paid 500 to 1.

So I got 2500.

Also, my first MMA bet was Holly Holm vs Ronda Rousey. I bet 18 dollars on Holm and woke up with 180.
