Oh come off it, Italian? Bit of pasta in sauce? Bit of salad on bread?(original Italian pizza doesn't even have cheese..) you come out of an Italian restaurant needing a bag of chips.

I've had both English and American breakfasts, equal,quality just a matter of personal preference. Will give you the hash browns.

I've had better food in South Africa, Australia, Thailand, France, Belize and Mexico. Thailand is by far the best I've had. France was a close second. The key is to avoid the tourist traps and go where the locals eat. A southern breakfast is probably the strongest food we have that's truly American.
