Strong understanding of police use of force in this thread.

Depending on the situation when they arrived, they may or may not have been legally allowed to use lethal force on this nut job. If he didn't have a weapon then all they can do is taser, k9, baton, oc spray etc. If he actually had the knife on him then its open season on his arse.
