Most of this anti-bullfighting sentiment is borne of ignorance, which sadly many things that seek to erode culture and tradition often are.

these bullfighting events provide a market that funds ranches where these bulls live better lives than any livestock in the US. The bulls are bred to be as natural and powerful as possible.

Its also a traditional practice that is protected under law in parts of Spain. Bullfighting creates jobs, generates revenue from attendance, preserves national history and identity. Surely a few cows are worth the benefit.

It's a cruel sport, but also an ingrown part of spanish culture of tradition. The fight between man and wild beast. Sometimes the man comes out victorious, other times it's the bull.

Honestly there are far worse things going on in the world than bullfighting. I'm not a huge fan of it but I respect the fact that it is a part of the spanish heritage in a world where every nation is becoming standardized and losing all of their cultural traditions.

There are human people suffering and starving to death every day in Africa. Hundreds of millions of animals suffering in slaughterhouses so that we can get to eat that juicy steak. I'm not trying to justify the sport but lets not be hypocrites either.

Exactly. Animals "living" in slaughterhouses live a far worse existence than those bull. I'm not saying it's acceptable and i'm totally against that dumb "tradition", but all the people ITT saying its cruel etc while buying and supporting the meat industry are just delusional and hypocrite
