One example where gas is more effective than charcoal.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/09...mile-away.html

A sharpshooter killed a top ISIS executioner and three other jihadists with a single bullet from nearly a mile away -- just seconds before the fiend was set to burn 12 hostages alive with a flamethrower, according to a new report.

The British Special Air Service marksman turned one of the most hated terrorists in Syria into a fireball by using a Barett .50-caliber rifle to strike a fuel tank affixed to the jihadi’s back, the UK’s Daily Star reported Sunday.

The pack exploded, killing the sadistic terrorist and three of his flunkies, who were supposed to film the execution, last month, the paper said. The ISIS butcher -- who reportedly delighted in burning hostages alive -- had been on a US “kill list” for several months, sources told the paper, which did not identify the sniper or the executioner.

Your range is full of guys shooting ~0.67 MOA groups with sub $600 AR's?

Well apparently you do not need any of us or any of our advice. You should probably unsubscribe from this thread and just do whatever the club guys say.

So, while I totally recognize the appeal of the "$800 AR10" is the "$800", building one doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Going to scope it? +$500 minimum. Want the trigger to not feel like dragging a plow through a sandbox? $200 minimum. Free float so that you can touch part of it forward of the receiver? $200 minimum. Instead of buying an $800 AR and putting $500 worth of upgrades into it to make it like an AR that you could've built for $1200, just build the $1200 AR.

Colt had an absolutely genius idea when they started offering their rifles for sale with no furniture/low pro gas blocks.

This Hildebeest story keeps getting more fuct up by the hour.

Sauce:http://nypost.com/2016/09/12/clinton...ealth-episode/

Not exactly known for their conservative writings...
Hillary Clinton was headed to an emergency room following her sudden collapse during the Sept. 11 memorial ceremony — but ditched her NYPD escort and detoured to daughter Chelsea Clinton’s apartment to keep details of her medical treatment under wraps, The Post has learned.

Secret Service protocol called for the Democratic presidential nominee to be rushed to a state-designated Level I Trauma Center in the wake of her Sunday morning health crisis, sources said.

In Manhattan, that would be Bellevue Hospital.

But a campaign operative decided to change course to avoid having Clinton seen by doctors, nurses and other medical workers who could leak details to reporters, according to a source.

In addition, Clinton’s van was supposed to be escorted by an NYPD protective detail, but the Secret Service whisked her away from Ground Zero before cops could accompany her, another source said.

The former secretary of state had told police officials that she didn’t want the escort at all, but the NYPD overruled that request, the source added.

Clinton’s campaign didn’t respond to req uests for comment.

Paging Mr. Darwin . . . paging Mr. C. Darwin . . .

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016...-still-worked/

A Florida man fatally shot his cousin Saturday in an effort to see if a bulletproof vest “still worked,” according to WKMG‑TV.

According to a Tampa police report, Joaquin Mendez, 23, put the vest on and “wondered aloud whether it still worked.” His cousin, Alexandro Garibaldi, 24, then pulled out a gun and replied, “Let’s see.”

Officers who responded to the scene found Mendez with a gunshot wound in his chest. He later died after being transported to a hospital.

According to the report, Garibaldi initially told police that he found his cousin wounded after he heard a gunshot, but police said they have a witness who described seeing Garibaldi shoot Mendez. WFLA-TV reported that Garibaldi faces charges of manslaughter with a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.

my CZ p07 complety replaced the VP9 for carry due to size and weight. I am actually much better at shooting the P07 than the vp9 for some reason, i must be a hammer fire kinda guy, i suck with most strikers

I figured hell, might as well deck the VP9 out and get the RMR, custom magwell + extended anodized magz for it

Single action triggers that are lighter and shorter tend to be easier to shoot than double action or even striker.

i ran a 'shift gears drill' with the Vp9 and could not hit the three or the fours (second to smallest and smallest circle) standing at about 9 feet. you want to talk embarrassing, lol. Even using the P07, I couldnt get the smallest circle. I wasnt even timing myself. Most rage inducing moment for me ever

Dual said, in his experiencing owning three, that buying stock and upgrading is the best option. Especially for a lazy piece of chit like myself.

These pics were taken in the Sugar Loaf Mtn area. It's a nice place to shoot, plenty of spots, but it's extremely busy on weekends. I used to go out there right after work on a Wednesday and get there at about 3:30pm, there'd only be me and maybe 2 other people out there.

I go to a different spot now, though, because moved further away.

This is from a range I go to up north. It's usually filled with people's crap that they dump there, but this time I went (video from last May 2015) it was all cleaned up.

A guy rode by on a dirt bike whilst I was out there and asked if I would clean my **** up after I was done. Told him I was just shooting a steel target so it won't be a problem. He said that him and his son did his son's Eagle Scout project by cleaning all the crap up. He said he was a LEO and he gathers some trash that is left over such as boxes where people have shipping labels on them (retards) or lifts finger prints off tvs and reports to the Sheriff. LMAO if true

That spot looks nice. I'm finally going to have a truck soon so I'll be able to go out on my own to shoot so I plan on going on non weekends and avoiding any crowds.

Colt had an absolutely genius idea when they started offering their rifles for sale with no furniture/low pro gas blocks.
Yeah, there are hundreds of options like that for AR15s but very few production AR10s. And none really in that $1,200-$1,600 sweet spot as I have bitched about other than Rock River, which are mostly proprietary. And I'm not buying a Rock River gun. Their 2-stage trigger is good though.

Apparently it is a very small market and it even chased S&W and Colt off within 2 years. Armalite was proprietary but recently came out with the Defender series which is supposed to be SR25/DPMS compatible. That is in the $1,000 range and would probably be a good base for a buildup of upgrades. I know DPMS is considered a worthless pot metal potato gun for AR15 but they are the primary contender for building up a base AR10. I actually had to do less to get my DPMS tuned in that the Aero or the Bushmaster. But yes, you are looking at $500-$600 minimum in upgrades, excluding a decent optic.

Just trust me that it is a LOT more trouble to build an AR10 from scratch than upgrading a complete base rifle. And there is a huge gap in production rifles between $1,000 and $2,000 (meaning there are none).

Why all these arguments lol. Its not like they are all shooting out of a 16 inch barrel lol
Unless you are going to Afghanistan (doubt it) or a top tier competition shooter, I doubt you are going to utilize most of those features. I LOL when people trick their guns out with unnecessary gear when most will never use that stuff. Its just to be a fanboy to be honest. Even most cops won't use that stuff (exception is SWAT). Past the necessary stuff like sights, stock, and charging handle, most people don't need crap like a tactical light, laser, lighter trigger, multiple scopes, bigger foxtail, bipod, etc. Its even more a moot point when talking about internal differences that won't effect most people. Face it, how many civilians need a tactical light, let alone arbitrary stuff that more expensive weapons feature? How many people will honestly shoot 10K rounds through their weapon? Most civilians won't be crawling through the mud enough to truly test their weapons either, and face it, most of the people who buy these weapons aren't Spec Ops or LE.

I just needed a straight out the box gun with a rail system that is reliable, will pass an armorer's inspection, and is accurate. If the M&P15T is such a piece of ****, then I'm sure it wouldn't have made it into several police mags praising it or be used by major depts. I've hit black with way worse guns in the military than the one I just brought. Same with my pistols. I'm just as accurate with the Glock in the pictures I posted as I am with the stock one my dept issued me. At the end of the day, there's going to be little difference between the way these AR15s shoot. I'm not just talking about the BCM and M&P15T either, but a majority of the brands out there. All in all, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with my purchase and I don't let BB.com's opinion dictate my purchases lol.

People on here are way too gun snobby. The M&P is a solid product and in use by multiple agencies around. In the hands of a good shooter, its still gonna go "bang" and hit just as accurate as a Bushmaster, Colt, DD, BCM, RRA, etc.
