Wait 5 years, no phones will have headphone jacks anymore. It's old technology being phased out. Apple wasn't even the first one to do it

If they can produce earphones that takes full use of the lightning technology and skips the use of the 3.5mm copper wire ones, then the space that the 3.5mm jack can be used for other hardware and increase the sound quality as well.
But yeah, it seems kind of stupid if they haven't the earphones ready to make full use of such technology.

hardware seems fine, but then again, that isnt the reason people typically buy iphones.

When it comes to actual software/hardware issues, like touchscreens dying/phones not charging/cameras ****ting the bed/lag, iPhones are more reliable.

I'm not saying there are no merits to a 3.5mm headphone jack. But there are also benefits to not having one. We are moving away from the traditional headphone jack. It is old technology. Doesn't mean it's bad technology. We have people who still swear by vinyl

Starting to believe Apple is lost without Steve Jobs.
brb pink and gold phones
brb stupid big iPad that serves no purpose in everyday life
brb 15 attachments to do one simple task that the iPhone 1 could do
brb where is the innovation
brb ios10 looks big, cluttered, and almost android like. Fuk your widgets. So anti minimalism

The few hours we talked were really great even if the convo was stale, your really pretty and chill, and your country thats just perfect :'D i really dont know how to explain it, but i think i have feelings for you somehow. i never felt like this with someone i just met, but i felt the need to get it off my chest. sorry for being all weird just idk how to explain it D:

OP, makes me feel like I can't charge phone and listen to music at the time without having to spend more $ for third party adapters. Not a deal breaker to own that phone (but just got a 6+ cuz I didn't wanna deal with it) but a potential issue for some. Still props for LOL title and pic.

Rubber grommets?
Super noticeable what with it being flush and made out of the same material as the rest of the phone and all.

Definitely need that extra space inside though, isn't the Iphone 7 thicker than the 6?
First Android didn't have a 3.5mm jack, first Iphone didn't have 3G. See the difference? Apple always cucking homos like you.

You're right, it's completely flush... when it's closed
1. Ugly as **** when it's open
2. No longer waterproof when it's open
3. Another flappy piece to potentially break off
The 7 is the exact same thickness as the 6S. Although it is .2mm thicker than the 6 granted. Still almost a full centimeter slimmer than it's main competition, the S7. Speaking of, the S7 is also a full centimeter thicker than the previous gen S6... just saying
You're a sheep standing on the opposite side of the fence. Ironic that you call others cucks

I look at the S7 and the 6S+ and all I see is how huge the bezels are.

Why is the Iphone 7+ larger in every direction than the 6+? With all the space they gained from removing the 3.5mm jack you'd think it would be smaller.
Let me ask you, will the Lightning port have a grommet? All I know is, the phone you posted above can be charged wireless, no need to open the cover.
For your info, my phone is not Samsung branded, you mad? I'm not a sheep like you, so don't take comfort in thinking that I'm trying to defend Samsung, I just calls a cuck when I sees a cuck. Cuck.

The 7+ is identical in size to the 6s+? It's actually lighter too. But why would they make it smaller? It's a plus sized phone. It sells incredibly well. The market clearly likes the size (personally I prefer a smaller phone)
To answer your question, no, the lightning port does not have a grommet. By design, it's waterproof
Tbh I don't care what brand your phone is, and I don't know why you care about what brand other people choose so much. You sound like the mad one. Apple makes one of the best phones on the market, android users have a hard time accepting their phones aren't the greatest thing since sliced bread

The problem is that once Jobs was about to die, Apple started going full steam ahead developing products without him that were poorly thought out. The 6+ (and 7+) phones are way bigger than they need to be:
brb 5.5 inch screen
brb 77.8mm wide
brb 67.8% screen-to-body ratio
There's honestly no excuse in 2016 for Apple's 'plus' phones to be so wide yet have only 5.5 inches of screen. It breaks just the same when dropped.
Metal/glass framed Androids that cost half as much are either the same size with an even larger 6" screen, or are 5.5 inches but are a good 4mm narrower, and feel much smaller in the hand. This isn't 2007 any more -- its possible to pack more stuff into a smaller package nowadays.

I suppose the equivalent on Android is to make use of the usb3 port.
The only downside might be the cost of earphones of this technology since cables tend to break or become worn out near the plug.

Over the top brand loyalty is insane to me.
Apple are marketing geniuses. People defending removing an audio jack from a new phone like it was their political party.
And these fanboys aren't getting paid a dime.
Apple. Marketing geniuses. Serious.
Apple are marketing geniuses. People defending removing an audio jack from a new phone like it was their political party.
And these fanboys aren't getting paid a dime.

Wait 5 years, no phones will have headphone jacks anymore. It's old technology being phased out. Apple wasn't even the first one to do it

I've been rocking HTC's since the One M7 and couldn't be happier. In terms of build quality they're more solidly built than an iPhone, and the Sense Android skin is (bias?) by far my favourite in terms of look and feel.
The only negative HTC have copped has been their camera selection for the M7, M8 and M9... but the 10 improved on that drastically. Nothing beats BoomSound either...

Apple is the most cuck ******* chit I have ever seen. You phuckin pay through your ass so that the spirit of Steve Jobs, marketing "genius", can shoot his ethereal mangoo all over your trendy hipster ******* face...phuck apple...I'd rather get raped by a pack of wild Tyrones than be caught using an Apple product. Enjoy calling your mom on your $800 phone *******.
srs apple is overpriced af...
