If you look at it objectively, everything you do is weird. You dedicate hours a day to study/work doing some arbitrary job so that you can earn artificial credit the government created to support your habitat/nutrition so you can do more study/work to earn more artificial credit, with the occasional shiny toy now and then that you play with and get bored.

The whole thing is absurd so you shouldn't judge anyone for having their own desires, i.e your friend who found his joy in getting laid. I can assure you he's not depressed unless he's doing it to cover up some crippling inadequacy.

Every mammal on this planet has sex it's not special or impressive to get laid. Using your brain and working hard to achieve your goals is. Also the ability to get laid is dependent on things you can't control like physical attractiveness and it's unfortunate that retarded jocks who look good get more respect then nerds who weren't as lucky to be born with good genetics.

My friend doesn't actually get girls and whenever I hangout with a girl he will tell me to get a friend for him and will be insulted when I don't.

You don't quite understand the existential predicament I was referring to. The most meaningful jobs such as construction, medical and engineering all contribute to a comfortable living. So what is a person to do once their needs are fulfilled? Say you have food, shelter and entertainment at your disposal, what's next? It then becomes about experiences, relationships and self-actualization.

Now I'm not saying that getting laid is important, even if it leads to more people, more labor and the need for more work, my point is that ultimately there is no better or worse when it comes to pursuing what interests you. Being a big CEO of some company that specializes in selling phone plans so that their employees have a basic income to support their life systems can be reduced to being just as meaningless as a chad who lives his whole life around partying and getting laid.
