Agree with you OP. Although being a kid in the 90s was WAY better. This generation is full of chit regardless whether you're a kid or not. Social media brainwashes females etc. the early 2000s was a great time too. From 2007-2008 onwards is when chit started hitting the fan.

I feel sad seeing my little bro getting fat watching pewdiepie. When I was 11 I was tearing ass through the streets on my 21 speed to go to friends' houses.
Hell, we at leastplayedthe fukking video games, and had to actually visit people IRL for multiplayer.

As an early 2000's kid, let's get some things out of the way:
- I played outside. Soccer. Basketball. Tag. Adventures in the forest. Rode bikes. Skateboarded.
- Ihadfights. Afterschool fights. 3:30PM sharp on bright green fields while 50 kids surrounded you cheering.
- Didn't own a phone until I was 13.
- Social media didn't becoming mainstream (for us kids) until I was 13.
- Didn't spend my days indoors on an IPad. Yes we played Xbox or Playstation sometimes, who wouldn't? Moderation.
Basically, I had a 90's-tier childhood but better. I had more options, and the technology was there (but it didn't consume us like it does now)

Was there ever a better time to be a kid than early 90s?
Wall went down, parents were happy, economy booming.
GOAT age of consoles, SNES and MegaDrive, Zelda a Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Metroid, wow as a kid this was the best. In addition, Sensible Soccer and competition with your pals.
Basketball being all time goat, MJ, Dream Team, everyone outside playing bball.
Ninja Turtles, Wrestling and the A-Team on the telly.
Driving your bike everywhere, safe and without helmet.
Got in fight in school, both got reprimanded, brb best friends afterwards.

The 90s were great. None of this inclusive bull**** and social media saturation kids today have to worry about.
Plus we had the GOAT music.
Greatest hip hop albums
All time great grunge records
Scandinavian melodeath classics
Second wave black metal
Classic death metal
The '10s can **** right off seriously.

What made the 90s so great is that everyone experiencing it was on the cusp of the technology revolution. They went from Goat childhood to adopting the new technology after their childhood ended. It was a seamless transaction.
