I've been on sports overload for about 3 weeks now.....I was so emotionally spent after the World Series, I watched the OU game Thursday laying on the couch and only called the Stoops brothers stupid once or twice. My wife thought I was sick.

ETA: who else was a little disappointed there was no London game this week?

Okay, the Gen4 has more features and options, andmostpeople think it's better but not all. Gen4 has a different grip texture, modular grip pieces to change the size of the grip, a little different recoil spring design (you won't notice that), comes with 3 mags generally instead of the 2 mags that come with a Gen3, and generally costs $50 more (Gen3 good regular retail price is $500 at an LGS, Gen4 $550)

Just find a store that has both in stock, hold them, see which grip texture you like better, keeping mind that the Gen4 does grip better with wet, sweaty, etc hands (for most people, though some people with sensitive skin complain about carrying the GEn4 concealed against their body I don't think that is an issue at all).

You want to buy this gun and the ammo soon, like today. Call or shop around local gun stores for in stock at the above prices or close. Check grabagun, check buds gun shop. Buy new.

Buy this for defense ammo, now

http://www.sgammo.com/product/federa...le-ammo-p9hst2

But seriously with the risk of the market going weird in a few days (eeek!) now is the time to buy the gun, 1k round case of FMJ range ammo (see SGAmmo or Target Sports USA), and let's say 100-200 rounds of JHP like that HST above
+1 to all this, right now you need to get a gun and ammo and then go shoot it as much as you can afford to. Ideally you'd have an AR for home and the glock for the car/the walk into and out of your home but the glock covers everything so it should be the 1st purchase.

Anyone know where to get good 30rd Remington 597 mags? I have 3 of the factory 30rd and they are garbage, 1 works ok, 1 works 50% (jams every other shot) and the last one the hole for the rounds is too small and I can't even load it. I didn't open them until a while after I bought them so can't return. Anyone know of good ones?

Have you contacted Remington? If not, they may be willing to hook you up with some replacements. Those may not be better than what you're dealing with now, but worth a shot.

Yeah, but if you download the shipping app, you can normally get around that, type in tracking # etc.

Watched "The Invitation" last night. Even though it was predictable, it was still pretty good.

I liked discount Tom Hardy's (Logan Marshall-Green) character, his situational awareness was pretty solid. He definitely trains like he fights.

Don't know much about the RAS47 other than some rumors I've heard about century build. They've been known to make some sloppy products in the past. But regardless, if that's all you have to work with its better than nothing. You can always get the rifle serviced/fine tuned if anything isn't working correctly.

If I had to guess though, I'd say itl probably work just fine.
