No lawsuit, but if she tells the prof or someone, you might have to endure an embarrassing lecture like the brah on page 2. And she's DEFINITELY not going to say yes based on everything ITT, so why risk it?

the correct way to ask out a TA is, once the quarter/semester is over and your grade is in, just email her "coffee?" and that's it. if she ignores it, you will never see her again, if she wants it, you are in.

LOL at her still being a TA in the final year of her PhD. There's nothing more pathetic than these poverty professors who can't fund their students, so they send them out basically begging on the street by working as TAs.

Rather than wasting your time emailing the girl you should just go find her adviser, he'd definitely suck your dink for a few bucks.

I highly doubt a 28 year old is going to make a big deal of a student asking her out. If she says no, she will probably just say "no, its inappropriate, please don't ask again" at worst. If OP presses the issue though.
