It would cost you something like $300 to do a transfer anyway, probably not worth it.

Upgrading my PC in phases over the next few weeks. Have been on my current build for about 3.5 years now, want to upgrade for better video editing performance, video games, and might do some live streaming (twitch) of games.
Doing this tonight:
(part: old -> new)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 -> Intel i7 6800k
Mobo: ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z > MSI X99A Gaming Pro Carbon
Memory: GSKILL 32GB DDR3 2133mhz > Corsair 32GB DDR4 3200mhz
CPU cooler: Phanteks ph-tc14pe > Corsair H115i
Within the next month I will do these:
(part: old -> new)
Video card: EVGA Nvidia 780 -> EVGA Nvidia 1070 or 1080 (not sure how much I want to spend yet)
Memory: an additional 32GB of Corsair DDR4 3200mhz (64GB total)
SSD: 250GB Crucial MX100 x 2 in RAID 0 -> 512GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2
Case: Corsair Air540 -> Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV tempered glass
Then I will upgrade my monitors, currently on a 120hz 1080p 24 inch monitor that I've had for about 4 years and a 23 inch 1080p 60hz monitor that I've had for a bit more than 7 years lol. Probably will get 1 34 inch ultra wide (12:9) 1440p monitor with 75hz or 100hz, then also get a 27 inch 16:9 1440p monitor.
After that I will get some studio monitors to replace my current Pioneer tower speakers (I don't remember the model off the top of my head)

ETA:
Also going to either build a Linux NAS machine with some old PC parts that I have, or just buy an "out of the box" NAS.

I think carrying spare mags for SD is dumb.
Yes, I carry two spare mags everyday but not because I think I'll need them.

To your points of "how often does it actually happen where a civilian goes to spare mag?":I think real world stats show a spare magazine being far, far from a necessity, since private citizens use firearms to defend themselves/others so many times a year, and how often does a private citizen use a spare magazine? Seriously, does it ever even happen? If so, it's mega millions lottery odds. How often does a private citizen run out of ammo and need a reload they don't have? I'm not sure this really ever happens either. How often is there a simple assault, or threat of physical non lethal violence, or standoff like you had? All the damn time. And since you have a gun, any hands on initiated by anybody risks being lethal force in the blink of an eye.
It's lower than you think, even, best I have seen anybody who should know state, it's about 20% hit rate. And yeah handguns are weak and ineffective as a general rule and you would want to budget a fair handful of rounds per attacker in hopes of stopping them.
Sure, becoming proficient in BJJ would be better than pepper spray. But you can have pepper spray in your pocket within a day...that isn't really an either/or decision.
If you are set on a spare mag I'm sure you can fit both, maybe even a second spare mag
But then a BUG fixes everything a spare magazine fixes, plus more.

1) You're right.
2) That's probably because even when there is more than 1 bad guy, those bad guys probably aren't that motivated to begin with, so once you start firing rounds they take off quick. You might only end up causing mortal damage to one of them which falls in line with the "one 15rd mag/bad guy.
3) It still is ideal to have a spare mag if you can afford to
3.a) But you got to weigh that against your personal priority of what you carry, e.g.: pistol > knife > flash light > spare mag > pepper spray > IFAK > etc (not necessarily my actual priority)
I guess I'm just irrational and in my mind's eye I'll take spare mag > pepper spray most of the time. Alas, I'll get some pepper spray and have the option, maybe I'll find out that I can carry both spray and mag.
ETA:
2.a) But if they ARE motivated, you're going toneedthat spare mag (at least 1)... but again stats say you are highly unlikely to be in that scenario.

Are your two spare mags OWB carried at your gun store job? Is it for a "we oper8 here" image? I can understand why you'd do that if so. If not so, why do you carry the two spare mags?

The one thing the spare mag probably does better is give you a more 'shootable' larger platform after going for it since the BUG is likely smaller and less practically effective (and a spare mag may have more ammo in it than a smaller size BUG)

2) Unfortunately, we have to "look hard" and "switched on" to discourage mischief. No chit, probably three weeks ago we got a ATF letter warning about robberies/burglaries. The next day, two stores were hit. Last week, we had a group of thugs come in and case the place. They were going to sign up to shoot and backed out when they realized they had to provide personal info for the waiver. One of the idiots decided to purchase ammo, no problem, but we need to see a driver's license

I'm sitting here waiting for about 500GB of files to copy over to my backup drives. I about took apart an on-board RAID of drives on my AMD mobo to put them on my new Intel mobo... before I did I had the thought "Wait a minute, I don't think the RAID will work on a different CPU architecture". Good thing I didn't try, would've lost a ton of data.

its a pita enough carrying one gun, let alone two concealed.
id rather carrying a flashlight or something useful compared to a BUG. idk how you dress but i don't casually wear 5.11 tactical cargo pants w ten million pockets.
if you're serious enough about getting significant other/friend to need a pistol, make them carry it themselves.

I am more than likely fatter than you and I appendix IWB carry, not too bad just got to have a good belt and not cinch it down so tight.

Placed 7/21 in Production USPSA today, 33/104 overall.
Take note of the hits and time of me compared to the guy that placed 2nd. Nearly identical hits, but he was 13 seconds faster than me. I feel like I can shave off at least 5-8 seconds and maintain the same hits, doing that I place much higher.
Take note of first place Production, his hits were far worse than mine, but he also shot a complete 30 seconds faster (hot damn!).
I feel I am continuing to improve.

[QUOTE=Millz post_id=1474725151]Placed 7/21 in Production USPSA today, 33/104 overall.

Yeah, I'm either open carrying, concealing with a sweatshirt/jacket, or concealing not on my waist.

The most of the ones I've encountered had the rear similar to the one that comes on the TS so you can work the slide with the sight.

The rear sight I like a lot, it functions very nicely and doesn't take up too much volume. I have been able to use that rear sight to do one hand reload (and rack slide) off of my shoe (while kneeling) and also off of my belt.
