Doesn't matter that they are banned in CA when you are in another state even if you are a CA resident.
For a "Tomorrow" scenario that first step is all you'd need to have free choices in the next step.

The more I dick around with vertical foregrips on an AR, the more I'm drawn toward a more minimalist build.
I want to tick all my boxes (white light, night vision-compatible laser, reliable) without the extra weight. The lightest weight build I threw together on a basic M4 platform gave me the laser and optic in one package, but it precludes a good magnified optic and the MARS height over bore necessitates a cheek piece that screws with my stock positioning.

ATPIAL adds a bunch of weight to the front end. I have an IR laser / white light module but it's not an ideal solution (have to remove it to change batteries)

Not sure if I want to say F it and suck up the weight or build a lightweight rifle and build most of the weight off in optics.

I think that my next gun purchase is going to be an 18" SPR upper for my 20" BCM M16A3 clone. Now to just contemplate Aero vs BCM for the next 6 months. Lulz.

This was classic ignore-everything-dad-warned-me-about rookie driver boneheadedness. Turning left at an intersection at a light from the turn lane . . . he was expecting an arrow but he just pulled up and stopped and it wasn't enough to trip the arrow. So . . . sees green and goes ahead and turns. Trouble was, there was no arrow and so was green in both directions and the oncoming traffic had not had to stop yet--they were just slowing down. Wham.
Naturally, I grabbed the dashcam and checked it when we got home. Sure enough . . . little phukker was on the phone (bluetooth in the car) chatting with some sloot while he was pulling up to the light and was yakking at her while he was turning rather than paying attention to what he was doing and looking at. Should have been a fly on the wall for THAT confrontation with the laptop.

Anybody ever have a barrel cut down and threaded? This varmint rifle has a 26" barrel. I'd like it cut down to 18-20 and have it threaded for a can
