You don't approach service dogs. So many people have no common sense for the untold rules of life.

Guy could have PTSD/epilepsy. I'm no liberal but it's a little insensitive to distract a service dog when the owner could have an episode at any minute.

He could be a veteran for all we know and the girl clearly was thick. The fact that she followed the guy after suggests she's a massive c*nt. Anybody with any manners would just brush the awkward incident off and walk away.

Sure, he was a bit blunt with his explanation, and pretty crude with his response, but it's pretty common knowledge you're not supposed to just go up and pet a service dog without asking, and that if the owner tells you no, you just walk away. Not sure why so many miscers are ganging up on this dude.

also not sure why so many miscers are failing to realize that service dogs can be trained for more than just blindness. There's a reason why they're called service dogs now, and not seeing-eye dogs. They can be trained to help with laundry, household chores, detecting seizures, PTSD, and just the normal daily routine

The dude's response to " I don't like your attitude" was "**** you. Eat **** and die bitch". This response was no where appropriate for what she said. He's clearly on the autism spectrum and only a miscer would think that was justified.

like I said, he was pretty crude with his response. I don't disagree or doubt that he has some sort of mental issue, I never said it was justified. But isn't that even more reason to leave someone and their service dog alone? Not go follow them around a store and make jokes about their situation, which is what she seemed to do after that incident?

reverse the roles, and a dude following a disabled lady and her service dog would be harassing her at best, and possibly on the verge of assaulting her.

Lets role play with a situation miscers can related to. You're going about your day, and you encounter Arnold Schwarzenegger at the grocery store. You ask to take a picture with him. He says no (lol at him saying no, but bear with me). You get upset. You start hounding him for a picture. He tries to leave. You keep following. Now his bodyguards have pinned you to the ground.

Sure, you just wanted a picture. but they don't know that. just like the dog who's on the job doesn't know what a stranger wants with him and his owner.

If he would have just said "Sorry to hear that..." or just rolled away from the beginning, nothing would have happened.

That's up to the owner. I can understand not wanting everyone to come up and pet your dog.

Trying to use logic to understand the actions of a disable person, not even once.

Again, I'm not disagreeing with you. If it was me in his position, I would have just laughed and said "sucks" before rolling away. But he's disabled, and likely has a mental issue. What if his disability/need for a service dog has something to do with anger/emotions and having the dog by his side helps keep him from acting out too much?

they're trained to separate work time from play time... it confuses them if people want to play while they're 'on the clock'

same exact thing goes for bomb/drug/police dogs... most of these dogs are trained using the same methods
