It has a high bore axis. Its best feature, the fact that it's modular and can be used to accomodate multiple configurations, is pointless in the United States when you consider that we have no limits on the number of guns you can own and the conversion kits cost as much as a new gun.

I'm sure that it's a reliable gun. Mags are going to be pricy compared to Glock, but are going to fall in line with most other competitors or become cheaper when the army takes a million of them, probably prompting magpul to make mags.

Have you rented one? If not, spend the ~$20 and rent one at a local range and figure out whether you actually like it.

I rented a full size 9mm P320. It sucked.

I may re-try a compact or sub-compact at some point, but with the full size sucking...man that grip angle was ****ing terrible...either all of the grip angles are absolute piss or the grip angle changes between sizes which is also absolute piss-poor retarded

320 is a middle of the road, doesn't do anything better than any other pistol, pistol. 100% srs.

If you really want the "new best thing" in the striker world, get a CZ P-10 when they're available in the next month or two.

Every review I've seen and read says it basically chits on every striker pistol out right now in every important category: ergonomics, trigger, and accuracy.

This was also my experience. I was gung ho on getting the p320 rx because it's one of the few 9mm red dot pistols that co witnesses with irons. Felt the trigger and did a 360 and walked away. Felt like it was 7+ lb and mushy. Did some research and found the only trigger upgrade is $100 which includes a trigger and a single spring. If you're lucky, the trigger upgrade will drop it to 5+lbs which is acceptable but there's a good chance you will lessen your reset.

So I'm back to my search fro another 9mm. The walther Q5 is pissening but by the time I buy an optic I would be in the $1000 range which is way more than I wanna spend on a striker fired gun. Plus no cowitness with the Q5. In the end, I might just go with a SP-01 and will tune it myself

Postscript: Two gun industry sources whom I consider to be reliable, but whom I would not be free to identify, saw my post on Legal Insurrection and told me that the Army is paying a mere $207 for each Sig 320 handgun. That’s a ridiculously low price, and would alone entirely explain the Army’s choice. I have not independently confirmed this pricing information directly with the Army or Sig.

Yep. Glock will go cheap to land big contracts - but not that cheap.
I understand the idea behind these massive contracts and selling so cheap is that they will make money off of selling replacement parts, wear and tear parts, mags, etc over the years. But I would imagine it's gonna be a long time before they even get to the break even point on that whole deal...

The fullsize p320 felt really comfortable in my hand. Still need to test out the compact.

I don't give a fuk what contract anybody got. As I said I was one of the first to get the 320 and I'm happy with mine.

Again, It's ok to like different things. However, unlike other guns, these 320s do have a double click issue, and I would not buy one without checking it out in person first. It does have a high bore axis compared to the other main popular striker guns, but all the other ergonomics are better and it is very easy to adjust to.

Some claim it's normal, some claim it isn't normal, some report that their trigger assembly only did it in certain frame sizes and other frame sizes it doesn't.... Bunch of bs.

i had a 320 and got rid of it. I had that apex trigger in mine and it still double clicked and was all wobbly. shot fine but thought it was FUGLY looking and wasnt a fan of the grip to bore axis ratio. Ended up getting rid of the 320c and a PPQ m2 and now just have a VP9 and a gluke 19 and am happy as could be

+1 on the 320 being a dud. Bore axis is high as phuck which is a deal breaker. Sig has a tendency of doing that with their pistols. This is why I prefer Glock and H&K.

It may be great in terms of reliability and function but it would be far from my go to pistol for anything. The Army makes its decisions largely based on logistics and budget. It's far from what they really believe to be the best pistol for the job.

Fixed on mine.
Even on my AR-15's the position of my stock stays the same unless someone else shoots them. With the AR 308 being an overall larger rifle I thought it looked more balanced and aesthetic with a fixed stock.
