Imagine you learned to lucid dream and learned how to fit a whole lifetime in one night of dreaming. At first you'd be doing all kinds of crazy chit. Sloots, battle dragons, be a wizard. Eventually you'd get bored of all this so you start to dream yourself a life where you don't know you are dreaming, because the unknown is more exciting. And now you are sitting on the toilet reading my post, wondering if life is just a made up dream and when you "die" you'll wake up to your normal boring life and have to go through another day of work before you can go dream out another lifetime

A lot of people believe in the theory that on Ed, Edd, n Eddy the kids are victims of a nuclear fallout that claimed the lives of all the kids' parents, and it has psychologically scarred them. Thats why you constantly hear them being scared about making their parents mad, but you never see any signs of the parents, since they're actually dead, but the kids can't cope.

It may be possible to travel faster than light by staying still in space. When I say still, I mean you are no longer orbiting anything, not even the center of the universe. You would move as fast as the universe is expanding.
It is not so much the major events as the small day-to-day decisions that map the course of our living. . . Our lives are, in reality, the sum total of our seemingly unimportant decisions and of our capacity to live by those decisions. ― Gordon B. Hinckley

In on stoner thread.
If the universe is endless, does that mean that every single possibility within the laws of physics exists somewhere?
If there's an endless amount of planets then it's possible that there's also an infinite amount of planet earths, and also an infinite amount of 'you'.
If the universe really is infinite, then every possible scenario that could have happened throughout your life has happened somewhere. If the universe is endless then every possibility is happening somewhere at any given time. Not once, but an infinite amount of times, at every moment.
No idea if it's true, but it's an interesting theory to think about.

Watched a show by that asian physicist guy Kaku. Basically said that once a civilization is capable of developing extremely accurate world simulators (imagine real life version of the Sims) that it basically has a domino effect--with time, each simulated society develops this ability and creates a new simulated universe. So basically, our universe could be one giant simulation that is 20 simulations in from the actual "real world"
Fukin scary.
Ill see if I can find the video on youtube
Couldnt find it, but something similar

How do you know that everything you remembered is real and actually happened ? How do you know that you wernt just planted here in the artificial world aka the matrix and have been planted with false memories. How do we know anything of what we see around us is real ? What we see hear and touch is what are brain precieves the outside world as. That doesnt mean the world is truly what we perceive it as. I could be in a coma with a 10/10 hbb she demon milking me for my sperm to produce more men to enslave in the real world. How do we know we are not living in a matrix ?

Time goes by faster the older you get. Feels like it's still 2016 for me.
Also if you had an infinite amount of money irl life would get boring since you don't have any major goals to achieve. This is comparable to using max level and money cheats on a game. The reason the game was fun was because you had to grind to those reach goals but now that you've used cheats, it's boring.

mandela effect - essentially you remember things that happened, but did not happen in 'this time line'. Essentially there are parrell time lines with things that happen differently for people. Thus people remember mandela dying in prison, or the bearstein beers etc. Pretty whack when you realize things 'you' know didn't actually happen in this time line.

We can pretend to sit there and ponder whether or not we should do something, but it's the structure of our brains that will determine how we act in any given situation. The only way you could choose differently, in any given situation, is to go back in time and change how your brain functions.the one about how we dont have free will and we're just actually following our predetermined route cause by our genetics is scary as fuuarkk
If you had an identical brain to mine, biologically speaking, and we were put into the exact same situation, we would react in the same manner. There is no "soul" in each of us that would choose how to act. It is mere biology. There is nothing else. There is no way to "choose" against the structure of your brain.
If I was walking through an abandoned woodland and passed an attractive female, I would walk past her peacefully. Others, in that situation, would rape and kill her. Neither of us really chooses it. We are who we are, and when we're put in certain situations we will act certain ways.
A braincanchange its structure over time (The Brain That Changes Itselfby Norman Doidge) - rehabilitation is possible, and you can change who you are over time - but that doesn't mean that we choose how to act in any given situation. Whatever you've done to your brain in the past, in the present moment the only thing your brain can do is respond to what it is facing as its physiology determines.

In all of human history... no, forget that. In all of evolutions history, from single cell organisms to fully functioning humans...
...What are the chances you're alive and aware just the millesecond in history before humans create AI smarter than any natural being and before virtual reality can be mass produced by this AI?
Really, what are the chances?
Then, what are the chances we're actually beyond this golden era and just living in the time just before the singularity because it's the most comfortable/most fun/most exciting, while still being human/naturally evolved beings?
Makes you wonder.

The jewish holocaust of 6 million never happened. Official Red Cross reports are around 300,000 deaths in Nazi camps.
No mass graves ever found.
Gas chamber was not real, only used legit for showers/delousing
not enough incinerators or time to actually burn 6 million bodies. the math has been done and debunked it many times.
Census reports from 1940-1945 (the time of alleged holocaust) actually show the number of jews in Europe going UP.
many such cases.

Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it. Throughout my lifetime, I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost not enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambition far exceeded my talent. There are no more white horses or pretty ladies at my door.

There is a good chance that we(people currently alive) narrowly missed the opportunity for immortality, born too soon /feelsbadman
Neural mapping of the brain will eventually allow transfer of consciousness into digital form
A simulated reality will be created and populated with these minds, allowing all uploaded minds to exist for as long as the simulation exists. Biological death will no longer be the end of your existance
It would be useful as a backup for your mortal body. Scan your brain in the morning at home to create an image/backup of your mind, on the way to work you die in an accident. Backup is either inserted into the simulation world or could even be uploaded to an android body in the real world if you desire.
We may actually be lucky enough to utilize this if the creation of AI occurs within our lifetime which would infinitely accelerate this technology and bring about its fruition. Unfortunately our parents wont be around for that long
