I've probably said it in this thread 20x already, but South Florida is great. Hard to imagine I would ever get sick of living this close to the beach.

You go to Ultra once and you realize its not worth the traffic, fcked up people, energy, money and everything else that comes with it.
You worded it much better than I would have. I think that the festival experience is a great one - for a variety of reasons, but simply just for an entry into being able to access a little bit of each stage. But as you mentioned, after a while, people find that they prefer a niche or smaller genre of music - makes more sense to pay less to go see a small show of the artists you enjoy rather than shell out hundreds to battle with the tens of thousands of people.

Exposure and experience.

Traveling is a little bit of the same - you have global destinations that are tried and true, and novice travelers will know of them simply due to the big name. After some time spent, you realize you're ready and comfortable to go exploring things that truly interest you.

The 10+ asian people trains that run through the crowd to the front of the stage makes me wanna curb stomp.

Lmao! Take us back. It's all fun, but at same time rage inducing at times. But it's much more fun when you have a carefree attitude about it with the people around you just grooving and letting people through. Fun-spirited trains are good, destroyed dragging of friends through a train is no fun for anyone.

People just want to hear their favorite songs mixed with over the top drops and in rapid succession.
It gets old fast when almost every DJ does it on the main stage year after year..

Plays old songs in rapid succession = lol nothing new.
Doesn't play anything older or that the listener expects = wow wtf!

Haha, it's a hard spot to be in, I can understand that - especially for someone that spans decades in the scene. Everyone has a different 'idea' of who that artist is and what songs he should be playing. While it's fun to reminisce or imagine the songs you would have loved to hear, it does nobody any good to sit in the crowd pouting. It's easy enough to explore a different venue/stage or just enjoy the moment you're at.

Anyone watching the Spider show (or whatever it is termed lol) on Resistance Stream? Always interesting to watch the venues do their 'signature' events/moments. Wonder who choreographs all of it (inb4 JIA illuminati post)
Holy fuk mind blown at how dead the thread is this year, hopefully ASOT brings out more posters tomorrow.
I wonder how much of it is decreased traffic on these forums in general (or maybe that's just me - seems like it is anyway). Additionally, I would suggest that the EST makes it difficult for a large majority of population to be in the same party mood - but that wouldn't make sense with previous years and thread traffic.

Doesn't matter much - just enjoy it regardless of poster numbers

Wish that they had the full set time like Tiesto did - but I'll take a half hour anyway. Will be interesting to see what songs are played - I feel like they are pretty good about catering to a combination of old and new, although that's not guaranteed in the 30 minutes that we are able to view. Either way, when it is all over tonight, I'm going to listen to:

Feelsbadman that we didn't meet up - perhaps we were on different weekends :P and obviously, if it's not decided beforehand, good luck getting in much contact haha. Then again, JIA and I actually ran into 2014 tent neighbors at 2015 both at main stage and throughout camping. Kind of crazy how it all works out.

But that's great to hear you went solo and had the time of your life. Not everyone can say the same thing, of venturing out solo (into any aspect).

Edit: I would take some Cedric, but I won't argue with the changeover to A&B :P

Wish they had Cox stage going on the other channel - Digweed hnghghhg.

Agreed with this.

They need to reconsider the mainstage artists, and add other artists who are popular in niche music genres. Somebody other than tiesto, mike and ike, and Swedish house mafia *******s damn.

Wish as much money as they make, it is kind of silly that they aren't able to sample a little more of the stages, at least for a bit of time. I don't think that it would really ruin much of their profit in anyway, but at the same time, they don't even have to offer us these streams.

That really has nothing to do with who they actually book at main stage, but yeah.
