Single loading was for a 300 yd/600 yd match, 10 rounds fired for score at each distance at targets which are up for 20 seconds, then down for 20 seconds. I assume that the single loading is so that you only put one round into the target or each scored shot. Seemed pretty stupid to me,but since I'd heard of "single loading" Garrands and what not, apparently this isn't something unique.

You can put a single round into an AR magazine and load just one round that way.
Requiring a single round to be loaded through the ejection port instead of just putting one round into a magazine doesn't really make sense, what is the reasoning behind it? There would be a reason not to do it that way, that being, the extractor is designed to have the case slide up from underneath, it's not designed to slam over the case rim, so barring a good reason to hand load through the ejection port, good practice would be to use the mag

In an armed robbery that took place in Bakersfield, California, the store owner and his son quickly found themselves up against a few armed robbers.
The store owner had some things that he did correctly, such as being armed, but his biggest โand deadliestโ mistake was not keeping a round in the chamber.
Not having a round in the chamber cost him his life, and the life of his son.
In the video above, you can see the store owner handing over his wallet to the armed robbers. One tip to point out in this situation is to, if possible, throw the wallet away from you so that the bad guy can divert his or her attention to the thrown wallet instead of yourself. This, in many instances, can give you the advantage of drawing your firearm and firing that first shot.

Also slide release crew after reload. Kum at meh.

However, this requires you to reestablish your shooting position over and over and over again and takes more time to do, so all of the other shooters loaded through the ejection port. I did this at the 300 yd line, but for whatever reason, when I was doing my sighters at the 600 yd line, I kept having my round stick in the feed ramp in the manner I described, so I started loading from the magazine.Okay? So does anyone have positive experiences with the Springfield 1911 TRP? Worth the $1400?

just slapped some Trijicon HD's on the gluck 43 and took it out to the range. not sure if the TLR6 helped reduce the muzzle flip but the recoil wasnt bad. very shootable. i got some nice little groups once i slowed down a bit so i was overall very hapeeee
funny enough i ran into that same guy offering that trade there. told me the trade was still open and said he'd even toss in 500 rounds of 9mm since i added on the triicon HD's.
tempted even more now
Glock 43, 19 (both trijicon Hds, both have weapon lights) for a performance center MP9 and a shield (Truglos) along with 500 rds federal american eagle 9mm.
my mind says no
my heart says no
my dink says HNGGGGG

Do you have plenty of ammo for the mentioned weapons?
Basically if have all of that then I would say get one, they are sweet.
Reason to buy a TRP:
-You have all of your basic self defense weapons and ammo already
-You live behind enemy lines and don't get to enjoy 10+ capacity weapons
-You have a large collection and just enjoy buying all types of weapons
-You are just a 1911 fan due to the controls and your prior experience
If you're limited on budget I would pass until you have a 15+ rd 9mm hd pistol, a CCW single stack pistol, and a quality AR variant.

The Minutemen of Lexington are led by Capt John Parker, a 46 year old veteran of the French-Indian War; and a very sick man. He suffers from "consumption" (what we now call pulmonary tuberculosis) and will be dead in 6 months from that disease. But he answered the alarm that morning. He leaves his house at 1am and walks the two miles to the Green to lead his men. At about 4:30am his band of militia numbers maybe 50 men and the lead column of 250 redcoats are fast approaching the Green of Lexington. Capt. Parker orders his men to "Stand your ground! Do not fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have war, let it begin here!"
