Caving can be fun. And diving a cave can be absolutely amazing.

But crawling in a space that tight is crazy. And diving caves is literally one of the most dangerous things you can do. I only ventured into some shorter one's that were well mapped.

So, at 4:40 they come out of the "birth canal"

Looks to me like wherever they were around the 3 minute mark is where the dude that turned died. He went the other way instead of the birth canal

Sanctum? Yeah, have absolutely no interest in caving after watching that and The Descent, water or no water. Would rather free solo, serious and I can't even climb.

Never been "caving" in tight spots like that but I have done some underwater cave diving and even with ample room it is a damn ass-hole puckering.
Can't imagine doing it in tight quarters like that.

Didn't feel comfortable giving it a shot until I had been diving for ~10 years.

Palms spaghetti watching some of these vids. Takes me back to some nightmares I had as a kid crawling through tight spaces. No bueno Jeff.

This is what I don't get.

I understand the appeal of going into big caves and looking around, but crawling through these small tunnels - whats the point? There is nothing to look at, you are uncomfortable, physically struggling to get through it and it is dangerous.

You live in Australia.....where people constantly go swimming and surfing in waters filled with blue bottles and sharks and youre wondering why someone might like to go caving?

Exactly, young men are expendable to society. They don't have much real knowlege to pass down, and are full of testosterone and fearless. That's why a lot of them darwin out, it's part of our biological makeup.

There was a video of 2 cavers, one being stuck between rocks while the water was slowly dragging him down. Didnt drown apparently, but was close.

Some of you brahs should try it, your vaginas shouldn't get stuck in any tunnels.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods?
