Damn. Making this thread just made me sad for them. She had an abusive husband before this and dumped his sorry ass.
Her husband now is a truck driver (in state home every night) and treats them good as far as I can tell.
She lives in another state but we still talk weekly.

I'm gonna tell her that it sounds like she's subconsciously trying to sabotage their relationship since she said they are having some issues. She needs to either abandon this idea all together or just wait until they're at a better place in their marriage.

Work on them first before she starts trying to bring other people into the mix. (Not that other people SHOULD be in the mix)
Maybe this is her backup plan in case he checks out? Idk.

I just view this as cheating with permissionnot good.

"I'm gonna tell her that it sounds like she's subconsciously trying to sabotage their relationship since she said they are having some issues. She needs to either abandon this idea all together or just wait until they're at a better place in their marriage."

Like I said maybe her bringing this up will have them talk about actual issues, maybe its not her wanting sex maybe its an emotional thing. Maybe its a self esteem thing. Maybe shes just a dyke

You are going to gaslight her because YOU think its cheating, saying that you think she is sabotaging herself because she wants a GF? She can and should ask, maybe its just a phase and she will get over it. But if she doesn't this could manifest in a worse way... IE: Cheating

LOL, hell to the no.

If I was asked this question by my wife, I'd secretly prepare for a divorce and get ready to drop the hammer at a moment's notice.

Woah there buckaroo..

First off I've never complained to you about my ass you weirdo...only thing I've said in posts is that I'm working on it. I don't hate my ass lol why does everyone WANT me to hate my ass!? Damn
and I've only mentioned something about me having alopecia in one thread.

As far as I know she has not been cheating on him or acting crazy but I'm starting to wonder if I really know her that well now.
We have lived apart for a several years in separate states.

There is probably WAY more to this than what she's telling me. I just don't want to see her throw her whole marriage away.

After reading some of the replies that's what I've decided to talk to her about, yes. Wasn't ignoring your reply it's just that like everyone said, they are having issues and I don't think it's a smart decision on her part.

And yeah I do think it's cheating.

Why be married if you're not going to act like it? I understand everyone has different views but I know this woman (or at least I think I do) and she is not usually like this .

Let her ask her husband and let them talk through it, she shouldn't hide what she wants a good relationship is all about communication.

If he husband says no and she still wants it, she obviously doesn't value the relationship as much as her selfish desires. If her husband says no and she respects it even tho she wants it, that's a compromise and its part of being in a mature relationship.

We all have wants and unless you believe in reincarnation this is the only life you get, you should chase after what you want if you are willing to deal with the consequences of your actions.

This could be an underlying issue in their relationship and sex life, and if she bottles it up she is going to be miserable and in turn make him miserable. If she brings it up and they talk they can solve their problem even if it means divorce.
Spoken like a true young guy with all the mental gymnastics to justify sloot behavior. Why is her expecting to be able to have female fukk buddies on the side while in a marriage with a man any different than her getting porked by Chad/Jamal/Miguel on the side? She is still going to develop an emotional bond with the side chick just like a male side piece, which will kill her marriage just as much as the physical aspects. And whose to say she won't turn that into thinking she should be allowed to do more than have one side chick once he allows that?

They really fukked up by having a threesome while in a serious relationship of their own, let alone when they are married with children together. That type of behavior ALWAYS opens the floodgates to worse things, the case in the OP being a classic example of it. Ultimately what it boils down to is the chick wants an open relationship (a terrible idea for a marriage), and even blatantly says she's not cool with the dude banging other chicks. Why does she get to "satisfy her needs" by banging other chicks but he can't do that and must stick only to her since he's not gay and doesn't want a side guy?

Threesomes, open relationships, and all related sketchy behavior are chit you relegate to FWB, or at least relationships you don't take seriously on any level. The chick in the OP is incredibly selfish to demand she be allowed to introduce another sexual partner into the fold on her end when she had kids to think about. The fact that they actually went through with a threesome showed that their marriage was in the gutter. You watch way too much porn if you think this chit is ever healthy. Every damn couple I've ever seen that had an "open relationship" or allowed for the chick to "fool around with other girls, lollllz" has involved a pathetic cuck of a male hopelessly in denial and trying to justify it all to himself, all while getting outscored by the chick 20 - 1 or worse in terms or sex outside the marriage.

Good for you for claiming you'll try talking some sense into your friend, but if she's actually considering pursuing having a side piece (female ir male, doesn't matter) when she's married with kids, she is beyond fukked up in her line of thinking. That applies even if she tries getting her husband to "approve" of it first. It is obvious that she doesn't prioritize her marriage much just by wanting such a thing, and the simple fact that she has confided in you about this topic more than her husband (it could have been anyone, not necessarily you specifically) to this point is further evidence that she doesn't value him/the marriage much.

In short, she's a certified kunt for even thinking like this, which she is clearly aware of based on trying to guage her friends' opinions on the matter (she's searching for confirmation bias, not constructive criticism like she will pretend to be open to) before discussing it seriously with her husband. Feel free to say your piece to her, but there's a 99.9% chance that she either fakes agreement with you or gets pissy that you don't support her bs. To be honest, I wouldn't want friends like that anyway, including dudes who cheat on their gf's/wives, because if they're that big of *******s to the person who is supposed to be the most important person in their lives second only to their children, there's certainly other potential issues about them too.

Marriage/relationship over.

If i consider someone my partner then no threesomes, no flirting, no nothing. Don't give a fuk if she wants to bring home a supermodel every night, physical or emotional intimacy with another partner means she's cheating.

Nope no chance. Sounds like she's wanting some excitement in her life and this is the avenue she wants to find it. Even bigger NO with kids involved.

I can see if he says no then she will feel repressed, want to pursue anyway and things will fall apart. If he says yes, she may catch feels and things will fall apart.

Low quality garbage. She is doing the husband a favour by voicing this verbally, now he can proceed with the divorce.

Fact is, we all have temptations. Just because you're female attracted to another female it doesn't make you special or give right to cheat on husband. I'm sure the husband is attracted to his secretary, big fukking deal. Does that mean he should be allowed to have a side piece?

She has cheated on him if she's pushing a one sided open relationship. She just wants the comfort of doing it without the guilt. You need to be honest with your friend, and tell her that if she wants to fuk other people, go for it, but divorce her husband first. There is no having your cake and eating it too. She can go join a roller derby team and fuk all the chicks she wants, but let him go so he can find a good, loyal wife that won't sit around fantasizing about bringing people into their marriage (and bedroom).
