You gettin repped on recharge, Earl.
Yup.

I must admit when i first started i was a skip leg days brah, never squatted at all.

But after like 6 months i was like... yeah need to catch them legs up.

Squatted 3x a week for like maybe 2 months and legs blew up.

legs need the LEAST work, not the most.

SS is not effective. but something like BLSS with some accessory isolations for the parts that don't get much direct stimulation is GOAT for someone with no lifting experience.

I think its important for noobs to get over their fear of barbell exercises. That said, alot of them go into it without ever reading up on form which is why they all look like chit and end up hurt.

Even though you're a retarded midget, this is actually pretty spot on. However, everyone has different genetics and will eventually have to figure out for themselves what best suits them in terms of bringing up lagging body parts or lifts, depending on the individual's goals of course.

Where did OP state that it was marketed as a hypertrophy program? He said it was being recommended to noobs (who want to build muscle)... which it is.

Judging by OPs avi he's the best looking dude in here. No homo.
He said its chit for bodybuilding implying its being recommended for that

Its obvious for anyone with even remedial knowledge of weight training that its not ideal for hypertrophy

lol'd at "ripple toes"

If you are a weak ******* and want a not complex routine that will have you in and out of the gym fairly quick it is a good start. I would rather gain some solid base strength then transition into hypertrophy.

strength programs aren't designed with hypertrophy as the primary goal.

It's not recommended as a way of getting 'aesthetic', it's recommended to get people used to compound lifts, volume & frequency...

You mean most ripped. Work out at a major college football facility and see what they're doing...it's not bro splits. But, again, they're not doing hypertrophy, they're doing strength training.

OP is still dumb because, as stated, he said a strength program is crappy for bodybuilding. That is 1000% obvious.

Also, can we be honest, no one on the misc lifts anyway so this whole argument is moot.

Reccomended maybe not by ripple toes himself but by people on the forum, ALL THE TIME

that's the point of this thread

Noobs wash up on here all the time and say "i want to look like chris hemsworth" or some ****

The advice they get 99% of the time?

Stronglifts or Starting strength for 6 months

I MYSELF got that advice years ago

For a novice, strength gains is directly correlated with hypertrophy. ICF 5X5 is the perfect program for a noob.

SS is a fine routine to start with that builds strength at a pace novice lifters can handle.

Then said lifters can transition into a more complex training routine after learning compound movements from SS.

Even Ripple himself says that lol

You are correct, that is why I said before: "There is no reason for someone to be squatting that much unless their goal is to be a powerlifter or FOOTBALL LINEMAN" Starting Strength was recommended to everybody online back in the day. They wanted to look like this:

And wound up like this:

The flavor of the month is PPL or various reddit user programs now, I guess. I think that SS is a prime example of why you should seek workout advice from dudes who look like they lift in real life, and not anons on the internet.
