Louis armstrong
It is better to die on your feet, than to live a lifetime on your knees

a coward dies a thousand deaths, a soldier dies but one.

The odds are great
But my spirit is strong,
My faith unbreakable,
My blood is pure.
I SHALL ENDURE!
I WILL ENDURE!

the strength of a gesture, a thought with no voice

He has one of the most powerful voices in modern music, even if I dislike Disturbed and consider their music average and bland most of the time.

That being said Freddie Mercury (Farrokh Bulsara) has one of the GOAT voices of all time.

Oh my lord, not 1 person has said James Taylor. The guy has by a long way the most perfect voice. In Sailing to philadelphia with Mark Knopfler you can really appreciate Taylors epic voice.

Freddy Mercury, dude was a hell of a frontman. He wrote their best songs and played the piano while singing.

I do like Steve Perry and Chris Cornell a lot too.
