in a master's program, I am the only white male out of 9 (includes first year and second year).

I came in with publishing, a good GPA, LOD, etc. None of the others had any of the experiences I had.

Find out that all the others in the program are getting scholarships in the form of decreased tuition. None of them are seeking to do extra work, and I currently (professors let me know) have the highest GPA in the program.

Yet, they are all getting 1/4 to 1/2 deductions on their tuition based on their race/ ethnicity alone. the 3 foreign students whose parents can afford to buy them 2017 audis? 1/3 tuition reduction. This was strictly from the university itself.

Me? 1/100th of tuition. My parents make less than 42k per year (mom is disabled).

Oh, but I dont deserve the same treatment cuz "they need to incentivize and diversify the field". I need to be punished for slavery even though my family came over from poland in the 1930s.

Those Asians with the Audis having tuition reduction does not make sense, that's an issue that you need to address to the school's dean. I know a lot of Saudi and Jap foreign students get money from their governments and they blow it on cars and chit. You should find out if the other 5 students in your program are poor though. Bring up your issues to the financial aid office too.

As an Asian (Pakistani), I had to score higher than white people and black people to make more of an impact on the MCAT for med school. The MCAT acceptance score for whites and blacks is lower. lmao. Sometimes you just get fcked by the system man.

yep if you are an asian, indian, or white male esp from california applying to medical school then you have to be top in everything or forget about it. It's a messed up system where the successful get punished.

I'll give you a basic example since I clearly need to break stuff down in the simplest manner for you to understand.

If I own a store that sells shiny red candy bars and two people steal two candy bars that are priced at $1 each, how much did I lose?

Now if 6 people steal shiny red candy bars, also priced at $1 each, how much did I lose?

When you understand that basic concept, you'll understand what I wrote. More people = more money. There's more white people in America hence more white people using food stamps than the number of blacks. Is that simple enough for you???

It might interest you to know that you're not competing against those few slots available to minorities, rather, against the majority of others that look just like you OP. I hope that puts things in perspective and helps you to realize just how capable you really are.

Also, foreign students getting discounts? You're either purposely leaving out the details, or don't have all the pertinent information.

In the mean time, I'm still waiting for that special privilege that gets me ahead credits just for being a minority.
