Shucks. I've just been looking at that very same image and reading some of the accounts from other people. Some of their experiences... way more scary than anything in this thread.

Although it's supposedly just a disconnect between your still-asleep muscles and your waking brain.

some euro brahs might remember this cartoon:

it still haunts me to this day. i legit get tingles when i see this
i used to hide behind the couch and cry when this came on tv
i recently rediscovered it and went to watch an episode and literally sweat my ass of and turned it off after 10 seconds. quite a trauma
tell me this isn't fuking creepy as chit:

It's funny because I watched Bram Stoker's Dracula as a kid and it's the only time I slept with my parents. That's how scared I was. It's also probably when my love of the horror genre started.

This one's also chilling. WARNING: Volume alert. Turn yours down, there's no jump-scares. Just a bunch of screaming:
Based on that old Creepypasta about some horrific kids show. And just pause at 0:37 for some of that creepiness mentioned above. What the **** is that thing?

It's still strange that people have been having eerily similar hallucinations since forever.
