But the people who said she will wind up cheating on you are right. She basically gave herself a preemptive means to justify her own disloyal ways should she get bored and go astray on the side. After all, she said she wouldn't care if YOU did it, so that means it's not a big deal in general to her.

I'm not going to perpetuate the misc nonsense that says all women are a bunch of trashy sloots as a whole. That simply isn't true. That said, on a general basis, women cheat just as much as men, but tend to be 10x better at covering their tracks, thus making them appear like the more loyal gender to those who don't realize that.

This is what happens when you associate with women who like to go to bars/clubs and drink booze as a regular thing. You can't expect to find quality gf/wife material out of that demographic of women, it's only settling for them once they've become washed up "the past is the past" type skanks.

I think we're arguing two different aspects of the topic. You seem to be arguing from a very naturalistic, human biology standpoint. From that point, you are right - primates such as ourselves are all about dat dere kinky sex with numerous parnters. In fact, the bonobos are probably the only species as equally sex crazed us, if not more so.

I'm speaking more in terms of potential idealistic concepts - or what is idealistic in my perspective, at least. Personally, as much as I would love to plow as many random hoes as possible from a physical standpoint - and cot damn, I would - they've got nothing on my wife. Cheating is completely out of the question for me, to the point where I wouldn't do it under any circumstances.

As skeptical as I am of people's loyalty in general (I think 70%+ of people are kind of dbags when push comes to shove tbh), I am fully confident that this legitimately the same for my wife. Then again, we both have a pretty oldschool value in a stable marriage/family, even though we're not even religious. I think a big problem is that we live in the age of instant gratification and self-centeredness, and it's been setting back any progress most of society has made beyond Neanderthalian urges and desires.

You are correct that an actual majority of people in general do not truly hold profound value in concepts such as non- negotiable loyalty in a relationship, taking commitments like marriage seriously, etc. Hell, tons of people don't even really give much of a chit about their kids the way they should, IMO.

- Humans are intelligent enough to think better of simplistic monkey sexual desire, but the progress towards that has been regressing significantly the past few decades.

I appreciate the bolded; but you are misunderstanding me/flat out not reading. I don't cheat, I just found her point of view to be fascinating, and I wanted to discuss it on these forums. I hold myself accountable and have a ton of pride. I wont cheat or do anything unloyal because of my pride & ego alone.

I can think of a couple of reasons someone would be okay with cheating;

1. No self respect
2. Low self esteem
3. Plans on cheating
4. Accepts cheating as a normal part of relationships
5. Wants relationship so badly will accept being treated like ****

As a woman my perspective is that cheating is never okay. I would never expect it from a relationship (why would you be in a relationship with someone you dont trust?). As to getting mad, I would get next level mad if this ever happened to me in a serious relationship and it would not be because they were too lazy to hide it but rather because actions speak louder than words and cheating shows just how little a person thinks of you.
