and the sheer cost that comes with them,

Also it seems only Russians and arabs own serious yachts with the top 10 being all arab and russian owned.

The biggest in the world;

Azzam (cost $605 million, length: 180m). It cost 100mil more than the second biggest which is 163m long. with a fuel tank capacity of a million litres.... That means in australia it would cost 1,3 mil just to fuel up.

My personal favourite being 'Dilbar' (156m length)

Yacht owners are expected spend 10% of the total cost a year maintaining their boats. Paul Allen (co - founder of microsoft and owner of 2 super yachts) spends roughly $360,000 a WEEK on just one of his.

Much like buying a plane.......the actual owner might not be 1 single person (unless oil money).

What would typically happen is this:

1) Rich guy who can write it off as business expense and take 10-15 years to pay it off or whatever.
2) Rich guy who can afford to pay most if not all in cash.
3) Buncha rich-ish guys who go in part ways and set up a time share set up.

All of these examples with the added bonus of leasing them out to people equals not a bad investment.

You think rappers own all the cars, boats, planes in the video? Fuk naw, they rent it from aforementioned people in my examples. A big ass yacht to rent for a music video and to get it to its destination would be upwards of 200k.....thats just for a day or 2.

MTV Cribs when to Damon Dash's house.....he said he wore socks once and donated them. Only then did I truly know what its like to be rich. I would like to obtain that status some day.

Edit: Opps hahaha.avi
Damon Dash net worth: Damon Dash is an American record producer, entrepreneur and music executive who has a net worth of negative $2 million.

Tell me about it lol was 90 euros to get through the road toll, another 120 euros to park for 2 hours. First car I saw was a white aventador and then I saw a Porsche 918 outside the Monte Carlo

Just another variation on the biggest dik contest.

The reason its pretty much only russians and arabs is because they are the only ones that rich who still have no class and need to show off.

Seriously mirin these super yachts. If I ever get super rich like this, I'd first buy a yacht over a plane srs.

My dad actually had a smaller yacht that he ran when I was a kid, it was a regular sized boat (not a super sized super luxurious one lol), but had rooms, toilets etc and during off season the family would use it to travel and it was so cool. Unfortunately he sold the business and the yacht lol.

Most of these start out as renders or concepts and if you have the money they build it.

A lot of boat owners rent their ships out occasionally - some of those mega-yachts are being used by multiple parties no doubt.

Hell, even smaller normal boats do that. I know people that have boats in Chicago. During the summer, they'll post an ad on craigslist and let someone rent it out for a day. Boom - that one day paid for the dock fees and helped with any loan payments

I don't think I'd buy that if I had the money. I'd spend like maybe 30 days per year on one and it would eat my cash away 24/7. I'd just rent a decent one for a week every once in a while.
