I consider not when I'm incredibly bored but to be honest id probably just try and find a way to get the job done with minimal amounts of work/effort input and probably just end up sat at home watching the news within a couple of days.

No because I do the same thing. I've worked 5 hours total this week and yesterday made $923 dollars off one sale. I don't do chit and I'm pretty bored but I wouldn't trade it at the same time it's like a double edged sword. On one end wait around doing nothing and make money or slave away for 50 hours for the same result or less. The other just isnt a logical choice.

What are you hitting in the gym tomorrow?

No. Definitely not. There are so many issues with immortality that we just suck at dealing with. First of all, your cells are programmed to only divide so many times. Why, because every time a cell undergoes mitosis a chitload of mistakes are made. Eventually after 7 divisions or so it gets to be too many and its better for the cell to just die. Now this can be overridden (see cancer), but then the problem is these cells are now running the risk of not doing their job properly. So if you want to solve this by keeping a batch of stem cells from before and then inputting them in later life... thats a tempoary solution too because there is one part of the body where this is simply not a solution.... the brain. The fact is your brain works the way it does due to all the different synaptic connections between brain cells. Simply adding more brain cells won't solve this issue either as they would still have to recreate all the current connections. This is why realistically there is a hard limit on human life span of about 120 years (even for the heart which eventually will give in no matter what). We are soooo far away from this being possible. It's a nice idea though. Perhaps one day, maybe if we get to a point where we can sequence anyones dna in its entirety at their birth, store it on computer, regenerate it and then rebuild stem cells from it. We would still have the issue of the brain though.

Also very impossible.

Mars? Okay first of all, its SMALL. Small means that it doesn't have enough gravity to hold a decent atmosphere. We would have to warm it up a ton, which isn't going to happen. More importantly, it has no magnetic field to shield from cosmic rays. So that means that its totally hostile for life.

Titan.... tooooo cold. And too far away. Also again no protection from cosmic rays, you need a magnetic element in the core of the planet. Also if I remember correctly its tidally locked with Jupiter. Which is a plain no.

Okay so if not our solar system, where to next? We would have to travel to other stars.... we simply don't have the technology to get to ANY star in our lifetimes. You would need a generational ship where people would have to be born live and die on the ship for generations. And we'd be going on a prayer because at best we can somewhat GUESS what elements planets have orbiting other stars. And that's really really recent technology. We wouldn't be able to scope out exact atmosphere compositions.

(yes I'm a ****ing nerd. I used to read space encylopedias when I was 5 years old for fun.)

Would you be up for your consciousness being transfered to a computer simulation? (I think that THIS is the way forward). If everyone was just simulated on a computer (imagine living inside the sims but infinitely more complex) would that not be a better life?
