St Pete brah checking in. No damage, hardly any debris, and I still have power.

Naples checking in. No power, satellite, or Internet and most cell towers are down. We personally took no damage but there is some serious damage around town.

Will post an update and pics when I have time to misc.

You need new friends.

Seriously, delete every one of those miserable fools, family or not. You do not need that in your life.

Panhandle checking in. Just some rain a wind. Not enough wind to close the local bridges. Just a normal day in England where I used to live.

Jax bruh here, ain't **** happen in my neighborhood. The most dramatic thing was a chimney collapaing next to my place and some blown out tires on some vehicles up front. Miami and the Keys got the worst of it.

The thing that is worse than this Hurricane itself is the amount of people I know that are happy it happened. Especially those from back home across the Atlantic. Fuk em.

I live in St. Pete Beach and stayed at my bros house which is 20 minutes inland to avoid being flooded in and to take care of his dogs since him and his gf are essential personnel. Here, only lost electricity a few times and only for a few minutes, at least before I went to bed at 10pm. This morning his side and back fence is completely flattened in some places and there are tree branches everywhere, including some pretty large ones. I packed some stuff up to head back to my house in St. Pete Beach and was turned around right before the bridge, apparently the beach area is still a no go area, even for residents.

Sort of funny how liberals have a double standard about that. When conservatives in the past attributed natural disasters to God's wrath, liberals would laugh and think they were crazy and just spiteful of liberals. Now liberals have been doing the exact same thing during this year's hurricane season. Personally, I don't have an opinion on the matter of God's wrath via natural disasters. I'm just taking note of liberal hypocrisy.
"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. This, I did." - T.E. Lawrence.

“To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his gods” - Horatius.

So to rank them in terms of torrential output:

This deserves a response.

The water does come rushing back in, but the force involved is nothing like a Tsunami. Blow across a glass of water, and then smack the glass near the bottom - you can get an idea of the different magnitudes involved.

Fuking hate the media for hyping this up so much so they could hike their ratings. Oh and price gouging should've been allowed to happen. Then you wouldn't have gotten the gas and water shortages we saw.

Have an Uncle in Punta Gorda and was expecting to lose his house from the storm surge. He's back home today with no damage and full power.

If the media said there was a cat 5 hurricane bearing down on me right now, I wouldn't even go pull my car in the garage.

Grow up. This did a ton of damage to the keys and other islands. Also suffered damage to my own place. If it didn't slow down so much in Cuba it would have wrecked us

I was fortunate. No damage done to my home. A couple neighbors as least were not lucky and one had half their roof blown off and another had their carport destroyed.

So they could exaggerate its devastation. Hurricane Harvey fuked Texas way way worse than Irma fuked FL.

Yeah if it stayed off Cuba and slammed into the Miami-WPB corridor it would've been catastrophic. We got really lucky, pretty much the best case scenario happened other then it skipping FL and going into the gulf, but then those states would've had a beast on their hands.
