She's picks up a "horror" mag, and after several moments I finally man up and say, "so you like horror huh?", and from there a dialogue ensues. I discover she's foreign and arrived recently to study, and she's kinda into goth chit and wants to persue a career in illustration/animation. But just now, writing this post, it's hit me that she didn't ask a one single question about me.
Anyway, I go for the number/date close, because despite her not asking me anything, she did seem warm, relaxed and smiley. She hesitates and says something like, "hmmm, I'm not sure... I'm quite shy". So I just say that's okay, tell her I gotta dash, and then we said our goodbyes.
Ime if a woman says "I'm not sure", "maybe", "idk" or "I think about it", it means no and she's not interested. And yeah if a woman ain't asking you questions back then yeah your intuition was right, she wasn't interested.

Yea I know broheem.

But I did notice one subtle difference about myself concerning this latest approach...

I asked for the number/date purely because I thought, "why not?" - you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, bla bla bla. But as soon as she hesitated, I called it quits. The old me would've tried to regroup, and maybe tried again several minutes later or something; I would've applied more "game". But this time, I just thought "fuk it", and gave up.

And I don't mean "gave up" in a negative way, I mean that I'm 32 years old and I've generally recognized the futility of trying to convince women when they're not really interested. I dunno what other miscers experiences have been like, but ALL my successful dating endeavors have come about when a gal was enthusiastic from the get-go... I think I've only successfully turned around a lack of interest maybe once, perhaps twice, in my life, and these instances still eventually died, so to my mind all I ever really did was prolong the death, which was hardly a sensible use of my time.

Yeah anyone who says they can use game in order to convince an uninterested girl to like them is full of PUA shiit.

I have said the same as well, game means nothing if the girl isn't physically attracted to you to begin with. The only thing you can POTENTIALLY change is her interest in you, and even then it doesn't mean you will get anywhere with her even if you do cleverly get her number.

Does anyone else feel bad when they get "aggressive" with someone? Not at the time, but after the incident...

I was doing my food shopping in the supermarket the other day and I needed to get a 10 pound note changed into coins. I went up to the customer service desk:

Me "Hi there, could you please change this 10 into a 5 and 5 ones?"
CS Lady "I'm sorry but we don't do that"
Me "But I just got a note changed last week? In fact, I've been changing notes here for ages"
CS Lady "there's been a change in policy"
Me "So you're telling me you really can't change a 10 pound note?"
CS Lady "No, I can't help you, sorry"
Me "Can I speak to someone please?"
CS Lady "Sure"

She walks off and I wait. I see her coming back with a young male manager, who looks like a push over. He comes up to me.

Manager "can I help sir?"
Me "yes, you can change this 10 pound note for me"
Manager "I'm sorry but it's not our policy to do that"
*At this point my body language takes a turn and I switch from calm and polite to aggressive and polite*
Me "Look... just check the the note over, scan it, do whatever you need to do to make sure it's authentic, and then change it"
Manager "I'm sorry but we can't"
Me "This is ridiculous! Just change the note!"

At this point he knows I mean business and scoots off behind the desk to change the note.

Manager "do you need the change for a trolley outside? I can change it if it's for that reason"
Me "Whatever. Yes. Justify it however you please, I really don't care"
Manager "I shouldn't be doing this, it's against policy"
Me "If it was policy to shoot every customer in the head, would you blindly follow that too?"

Dude went quiet and gave me my change. I thanked him and went on my way.

But holy fuk I felt guilty as hell on the drive home. The guy was just doing his job and really didn't deserve the chit I gave him. I was thinking if I see him again I should apologise.

theyre just following policy. It doesnt mean they agree with the policy. Corporate probably realizes there is no benefit to the store making change for people other than as a courtesy towards customer satisfaction but its not worth it to them. You made the manager look like a bitch in front of his workers, he should have stood his ground even if he thinks its a dumb policy because now his subordinates see him as a bitch.

How is this comment relevant to anything I said?

Unless you lack reading comprehension, it's clear that my aggression stemmed from the fact I thought the policy was utterly ridiculous... NOT because I thought I was special and deserved the change.

Have you never stood up against something you thought was wrong, silly or flat-out stupid? Or have you always been a good lil' submissive?

Granted... I should really reserve my energies to battle against more significant wrong-doings, but frankly it all happened in the heat of the moment.

Haven't seen it yet. Will probably go see it sometime this week. Enjoyed the first one. This remake has gotten alot of poor reviews, but honestly I think these can't appreciate good SciFi. Probably missed the themes the movie was conveying.

I never saw the first one and since this is a remake, at east I don't have to see the original in order to watch this but nonetheless I probably will watch the original eventually. What I wanna go see is Kingsman 2.

I MTB and its a great way to keep in shape and be exposed to nature. I have really good fitness and might look into road bikes in the future. I'm just hesitant because I don't trust people driving cars - at least when you crash on a MTB you only have yourself to blame.

Blade Runner is good if you like long and heavy story. I didn't watch the first one so it took me a while to get into the story. I enjoyed this more than Kingsman.

Kingsman, on the other hand, is light and funny. Got bored of it after a while.

Should start Nov 1st for my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology. Decent degree, and Im working on coding as well. The course has a few coding and Web Dev courses in it as well. Will get 850 bucks a month, and everything paid for. #STEMmasterrace #futurefullstackdev

Should also go to MEPs for the Army National Guard for Special Forces support at the end of this month.

Still seeing the fitness girl
Had a legit 2-3/10 say we should hang out, but Im trying to be less shallow and accepting. She bailed on me tonight and says her granma is in the hospital. Mayne nah lmao.

I'd have to pass Special Forces Assessment Selection. A few guys from my old platoon in the Army are now tabbed Special Forces and love it. I'd have to really make sure my cardio and land navigation skills were on point as well. That said Im gonna request a deployment and work with them. Talk to guys and etc. However its a major commitment. That said jobs for security and etc would be cake to get .Agencies and companies are always wanting to hire trigger pullers with SOF experience.

Come be an 18D with me *******.

I've been on the fence about pulling the trigger on this for the last 6 months and making damn near minimum wage for the responsibility of someone living or dying at my civilian job is making me hate life to the highest degree.

went on my first ride today solo. it was def a bit sketch. def have to plan out the route and be aware of your surroundings. ill def stick with it tho, ill just need to find some low key roads around me.

cycling has def leaned me out like no other. ive tried with the gym and what not but cant beat riding a bike

Strongly agree with the bicycling recommendations ITT.

Over the last couple weeks, I've kind of been going "**** it, I don't wanna do homework" after class, and just riding my bike around/outside campus for a couple miles. I can't stand running on a treadmill or stair stepper for more than five minutes, but I can kill half an hour on a bike easily. It becomes 10x easier to do cardio when you feel like you're going somewhere and have some goal beyond watching a little LED timer count down.

Today I got going down some side street and biked by a BBQ restaurant that I'd never seen before, and of course I had to stop in for lunch. I admit - beef brisket tacos, BBQ beans, fries, and sweet tea totally destroy any health benefits that an extra ~5 miles of riding might give me. It was good as **** though.

WRT riding in roads - I still haven't figured out a good way to do that. There's no sidewalk on most of the back roads here, and cars really start pressing on you hard when they get behind you. Usually I just stop my bike if there's some kind of shoulder and let the cars by, but sometimes there isn't, and I just sweat my ass off and get to the next stop sign as fast as I can. I have no idea what the actual guidelines or etiquitte for that is though.

1) Buy a mountain bike

2) Buy a good helmet

3) Ride off-road

I used to do some racing here and there. It's hard work to mountain bike but once you get in the zone, it's some of the most fun you can have. Combine that with indoor soccer and goodbye bodyfat.

Mentioning Kingsman in the same sentence as Bladerunner

Nah each to their own. Film buff guy at work said he pretty much hated Bladerunner 2 and also Kingsman 2.

I troll him by saying no good film was ever made before 1971.

Read the road rules, but there's no universal etiquette because a lot of drivers are impatient, inconsiderate arseholes. Bike riders have their own share of entitled attitudes and lack of road skills but when it comes to a collision with an automobile ofc they come off second best.

TFW zero mountains within 500 miles. TFW everything out past campus suburbia is private land. Hate this part of the country.

I always did want to do mountain biking though, I used to rode motorcycles with my parents up in the hills and thought some of those trails would be great to take a little slower. At the same time, I still want to get on some logging straightaway again and just floor it to 40. God I need to get back home.

when i bought my first hardtail i regretted it, it was fukin tough. but my ego didn't let me waste the $1000 i spent. eventually i got my lungs in check and it became very enjoyable. ive been consistently mtbing and its incredible how much ive leaned out.

try searching around and seeing if there are any road biking clubs/groups around. there might even might be a cycling club at your school. asking the local bike shop is a great starting point

Have you spoken to 19th/20th recruiters? My plan assuming there are no issues at MEPs, and then Airborne school is to request a deployment to any theater where I'll see some pew pew, come back, and see about SFAS after about 3-4 months of prepping. If I make it through selection I'd go 18F and do my thing. Might go Active Guard at that point. Sick and tired of people and sitting behind a desk. I just want to sleep, work out, and bro out.

That feel when you ran away from the army, but low key its pretty legit minus the dumb ****.

Yeah, been talking to 19th recruiter. If you aren't on any special meds, MEPS should be easy. Some groups in specific states don't even make you do any dumb army ****. You can literally join and go right to SFAS if you're ready for it. Pretty sure you have to be 2+ years in the SF community to do the 18F thing bruh. Could be wrong but that's what they told me. The seasoned guys do the 18F and 18Z stuff.

And yes, I agree about leaving the army and now regretting it. Hopefully the SF community doesn't have dumb army **** although I'm sure it's all the same when it comes to that stuff.
