I have not had to replace a string or serving yet, but they get a little chewed up from the heat. I think I need to lube the rail more to help dissipate the heat from friction. Not bad to cock really with the rope cocking aid its like a 135lb deadlift. I usually shoot off bipods with my back against something (tree, post, truck tire etc). So each shot you have to stand up, cock it, load a bolt, get back into position etc. Plus right now Im only shooting broadheads at a small target so i have to walk 140-160 yards every couple of shots to get my bolts.
The compound cross bows have an advantage in terms of quietness and narrow profile (especially reverse limb models like that, great for getting through brush or maneuvering in a tree. The big downside is the mechanical aspect. My dad had a mathews mission Xbow that was supposed to be top notch compound Xbow and had a lot of issues with keeping it in tune. They just seem to need a lot of shop time after the first few months when strings stretch etc which adds up in a lot of cost if you dont have a bow press and can't do it yourself.

Yesterday I shot a 2" group at 200 yds using IMI 77gr but people in here are talking about MOA groups with 55gr FMJ.
Comparisons between standard and BFH ELW?

Even the expensive LaRue I think it is that comes with an accuracy guarantee of 1 MOA or whatever it is, is with Federal GMM, right.

I shot a 1 MOA 5-shot group at 200 yds with IMI 77gr w/ my BCM prone off my rifle bag, and was wondering why that was the best I could do. Also knocked out a 1.5 MOA group at 25 yds prone w/ a sling.
I'll stop worrying about it and get back to enjoying shooting.
Highlight of my range trip on Wednesday was this.
I'm at the 200 yd station shooting prone and going back to my bench to use my spotting scope between groups and I'm listening to a FUDD with a muzzleloader tell a guy with a Rem 700 and a cheap scope how to sight his gun. I'm listening to this while the new shooter w/ the 700 is trying to shoot and I look over at his target after he's shot a few rounds at it and it's still clean paper.
I ask the guy where he's aiming and he points out an 18" target in the upper left of his board that has 2 columns of three 18x18" targets on it. I have him shoot dead center and realize that he's like 12" high and 10" left at 50 yds.
Got him on target and shooting within an inch of his POA at 50 yds. Funny how things change.

This maybe? Awkward zoom range for that budget. More options in 1-4 or 1-6
Why not a fixed 10x, like an SWFA SS 10x42?

I randomly get this bull **** when I email people at CZ-usa. Out of thousands of emails, it’s only theirs that gives me these failure emails. It does it almost 50% of the time completely randomly.
