Don't go to crowded tourist places if you don't like that. It's a big world, lots of open countries to visit that are not crowded.

Traveling is like going to Disney or going to a football game or something. It sounds cool a fukk before you go and you're excited as chit but then you get there and its like...Meh...But let me take a pic real quick to make sure I have proof I've been/gone. Most of life is like this (clubbing, camping, hiking, buying a nice house, eating expensive chit, etc). That's why rich people turn to drugs and chit because life really aint all that. (*No depression) You will get the idea sooner or later.

If I go to Europe I don't want to go to the ****ing beach. I can do that here. I want to see pieces of history and landscape that I can't find anywhere else. **** that's unique to the area and popular with locals. I don't want to go to McDonalds or shop at Wal Mart.

Visit Rome, hike through the Swiss Alps, and hit one or two smaller towns on the Adriatic and the rest is basically a waste of time and money unless you're absolutely obsessed with palaces, museums, art galleries, churches, refugees and leftist scum. Srs.
An Eastern European city like Cracow or Prague is also worth visiting to get a flavour of what it means to be in a 99% European city (something that no longer exists in Western Europe).
Islamic Cairo, Giza (pyramids), Luxor (Karnak, Valley of Kings), Red Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum, Damascus, Palmyra, Aleppo, Cappadocia. Now that was the fookin' trip of a lifetime back in the day before the chit hit the fan in Egypt and the Middle East.
Either way social media and smartphones have destroyed the "authentic travel experience". It's a global chithole village now, boyos.

Just don't end up that guy who is 34 working 10 months at retail or a warehouse for $13/hr trying to fund his next 2 month trip.
Try to create a life where you enjoy wherever it is you are so much that you aren't spending the majority of the year in misery dreaming of the next trip.

Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

"Traveling" is garbage. I'm interested in two types of vacations - resorts on islands that treat me like a king for pennies on the dollar, and big game hunting in wildlife paradise spots. Europe doesn't check either box.

all the big tourist destinations are tourist traps designed to lure in as many people as they can so they can take as much money out of your pockets as possible. you're not gonna attain some sort of enlightenment by travelling to tourist traps and blowing all your money. its a huge farce.

Seeing the world, meeting a chit ton of people and smashing foreign girls is definitely overrated op. Sure.
Then you come back home and everyone is in awe of the places you've been. Yup, overrated af.
