When are you going and where else in Italy? Most of the places we stayed with locals and and went with their recommendations. A majority of the places we ate were not on trip advisor or yelp. We have traveled all along the adriatic coast. There is a small town not too far from Modena called Ravenna.http://damatteoristorante.itThere is only one kid that speaks english, so have MS translate offline or something similar. They have a prix fixe chefs menu that is ridiculous.

Totally off topic but if you ever go back to that region, I highly recommend Croatia. Nearly identical to Italy 1/10th the cost.

Daannngggg!!!!! I read it as you were at the best restaurant in the world and wasn't sure if you liked it or not.

Me, I always just go through the drive through and get 40 chicken nuggets (12-15 for now, rest for laters) and all Hot Mustard sauce! Only cost $10!! HahaSo good!

Call me an uncultured peasant, but I'd rather dine at a nice restaurant and have the whole bill for the wife and me be half the price of one of these meals.

The wife and I went to a 4/5-star place in Baltimore inner harbor for our anniversary one year. Food was great, definitely had an indescribably fresh/exotic taste, and total bill was around $120.

Places like this remind me of $200 cigars or $1000 bottles of whiskey. At some point, quality stops increasing and you're paying for the name or process. Food can only taste so good and be so fresh - so unless you're trying to tell me they are making the food before it's been grown and it's going to give me an orgasm - just LOL @ 250 Euros a plate.

So that dumpster called NOMA finally lost 1st place? Blew my mind how that crap was best in the world.. "bu bu buut its all locally farmed." Brb drinking blended grasshappers, ants on your ice cream, living shrimp-things flopping around your table. And eating Moss and bark and ****?

That's not Dorsia, *******.

Jokes aside, I'd never spend so much on a meal since you can find fancy and tasty restaurants for much cheaper too. But if that's your thing, I'm happy for you. Might as well spoil yourself once in a while if you have money for it.

However, please be sure to take some pictures of your meals if it's not much trouble for you, I'm genuinely interested in what kind of food/portions you get for such high prices.

Buon appetito!

I've always found these restaurants to be a complete waste.

Did The Charleston a few years ago. Spent roughly $500 and still his McDonalds on the drive home, srs. Good, yes. Worth it, no.

But I'm sure yours will be worth the hype, especially highlighting it on a multiple page thread on BB for some reason.

Italian and French cuisine are two of my least favorites. So for me fine dining at these places is just kind of meh. I leave that kind of place and 2 hours later I'm looking for a good burger to satisfy my craving. Fogo De Chao is literally one of the best dining experiences one can have IMO. GOAT restaurant.

Have fun though.

How can the best restaurant in the world only charge $250? That's cheap.
