my mom lives with my aunt and uncle and falls into the category op explained.. one of my biggest fears is that it will be my turn one daygoodbye to ever getting laid again if that happens - id rather rent her an apartment but god damn, it sucks having a poor parent tax

Some people just want simple lives and they are happy doing it, and I won't lie, I envy them from time to time. I've been chasing my dreams for a lifetime now and its becoming a heavy burden on the other parts of my life.

That doesn't seem bad at all. She lives with her family and has people who love her, and a stress free job.

Well ugly can't do too much about but you can lose weight. And for people who never went to college/military/trade etc a warehouse job actually can lead to your traditional middle class lifestyle. Nothing fancy, but you can make ~50k easily enough at a warehouse/factory.

I've worked in several though and you are right most of them let themselves go as far as looks/weight goes - but that's not because they're broke it's because they're lazy.

Some people don't want much, and are happy with an average life.

I truly envy the people who are happy with only a little. They've got a place to live. Their job, their video games and online gaming buddies. They don't worry about macros or lifting or money. I've met many of them and they all seemed truly happy and content in their lives. Seriously I envy them.

the truth is we lie to ourselves. or avoid the fact that we are poor or fat. nobody is truly happy working in a warehouse for a maximum of $20/hr

janitors get paid more and better benefits at least. i think in hospitals they can make around $40k+/yr or $27/hr

Same. I got friends with no aspirations to get a better job or move out of their parents house lol. And here I am constantly worrying about saving for retirement, a home, emergency fund etc.

They get off work and go play video games/drink. I get off work and have more non-work work to do. Fml.

20/hr is a pretty good wage where I live. Could easily buy a decent home. But then again a lot of people would prefer to live in a city where everything is like 2-3x higher than here.
