the only conclusion to take away from this is that the makeapp picture is closer to you without makeup than you with makeup.
therefore it is closer to reality than how you leave the house (if you do wear makeup everyday)
this is the main point that numb3rrs seems to be missing

As I've said before, this app is pretty accurate. It goes a little overboard in some cases, but nothing too crazy. Even if it only worked on the eyes you'd see how much of a STARK difference that eye-makeup makes. Even for the women who claim to "not wear make-up", I don't know a single woman (and never have) who doesn't wear mascara. It just makes too much difference and they know it.

What surprises me more is some of your (men) reactions. It's like some mythical veil has been lifted and the truth has been exposed. No *******s, it's always been like this. Your expectations have been warped by the the exposure to perfect angles, proper lighting, re-touching, and top-tier genetics. I'm not defending women here, but some of you need to check yourselves in terms of reality because they're along the same lines as the view around here that women want nothing less than an 8" dink.

you have to give it props for being able to accurately detect where your features end/start. Even snapchat doesn't always get it right, and most other apps make you pinpoint things like corners of your eyes/cheekbones to work.
Although it seems to be more punishing on white girls as it seems to have a threshold of redness in the face and lips which most white people have a lot of (judging by the add makeup feature making the face look overly orangey/warm and lips pink) where if it's detected then makes the skin blue and lighter and removed as color in the lips. It definately looks better on more yellowey or dark skin tones. As well as the removing eyebrows being a lot more noticable on blondes with light/sparse brows. Also obviously doesn't work with angled pics or pics where stark flash was used.

To be honest, I find it's mostly accurate but leaves some artifacts which is to be expected. It works fantastic on Ana Kasparian which is why she's so salty. The eyebrows are commonly darkened/touched up during make up so lightening is realistic but the app overdoes it. It also runs a high pass filter on the skin to reveal imperfections and remove foundation. This is also mostly accurate but may be harsh on people with naturally good skin.
