TBH, crypto is turning into more of an "intelligent" lottery with the number of cryptos out there, most of them are "sh*tcoin" though. If you have the insight to see what a crypto offers which will make it succeed (like DASH) - you will win the lottery. I personally get a bad feeling about ETH and a good feeling about LTC. I think DASH is f*cking amazing and I considered buying some last week - now that it's gone up 34% my suspicion was confirmed - I just didn't have the money to invest.

I actually felt offended reading the comment since he really doesnt know anything about crypto and base his perception from hearsay. He said there's a lot of negative news about BTC. He knew me so much that he shouldn't have thought I'll let myself be fooled by any scam.

We are classmates in Engg back in college, we're both godfather to our kids and I sort of guided him throughout his career (20yrs). Helped and taught him in his change of career path to follow what I'm doing and basically planted him to 3 previous jobs I held which can be considered life changing jobs for him. You can actually say I mentored him all through those years etc.

And then he just pissed me off with that stupid comment lol. He's still my friend though, explained everything to him so now he's researching crypto.
Just lol at not being able to take constructive criticism from a bro.

Based on Fib levels, that's the absolute bottom. I said $8k-$8500 though based on a more basic trend line

It's not constructive if you know nothing about what you are saying.
If I'm in his shoes, I would have said,"How does BTC (or crypto) work? Just be careful because I've been hearing a lot of negative things about it".

That would be a lot better. Sometimes people just say stupid things to say something just like your post.

OMG is a solid one. Also if you buy in at around $7, that's not a bad price to get in.

the only lingering IRS question is exchanges involving crypto pairs and like kind properties. Contrary to posts ITT, the IRS HAS NOT issued guidance on this and there is NOT a correct answer. Taking existing tax guidance, it should be treated as like kind exchanges and not a taxable event. However the new tax bill will restrict like kind exchanges to real estate, so then there goes that approach.

Some people ITT literally have tens of thousands of taxable events lmao. It's ridiculous. We need the Make Crypto Great Again bill of 2018

You really don't have to know much about bitcoin to know that at this price, it's a bubble waiting to crash. Posting it on social media sounds like a good way to broadcast your ignorance to everyone.

I'm not even referring to any possibilities or trying to convince anyone to get in. So its not about it crashing down or going up.

My post is plainly about how surprised I was because I haven't checked on crypto during the TG holiday and last time I check was when it's about $8000.

So I guess people posting about crypto gaining or losing in social media are just ignorant right?

Also, your name fits your view perfectly bro.

Fair enough, my original point is though that I think a lot of people are becoming too emotionally invested in crypto to see the risks involved. Listening to an outsiders perspective would not be a bad idea

I was going to put half of my coins in lending just to see what it is all about. I will have to wait 149 days to cash out though. Though since the server was so laggy it doubled my lending investment and no I am stuck with most of my coins in lending. I am hoping they will be able to remove half of what I put in lending back into my coin account.

$1,010 to $5,000 Up to 45% per month +0,10 % daily 149 days

Locking up some of my coins seems like a smart thing to do just incase this chit goes nuclear and I'm not here kicking myself because I want to sell a decent amount right away, so I'll throw 274 into this
