He sure as hell would not be considered just 'black' here in Canada. We do not omit half of anyone's ancestry, ironically, to support an agenda. Omitting half of his ancestry prevents him from being seen as an individual, which, also ironically, is what those against racism are supposed to be trying to achieve.

What Michael Jordan did on the court inspired millions. He was an icon worldwide in places where basketball isnt even a popular sport.

Drake isn't really popular at all. Or at least I don't know anyone who listens to him and I've never heard anyone talk about him.

If people were aware of his ancestry, his mixed background would be acknowledged and would not be distorted to lump him into one of two groups.

Many people up here do not fit into a conventional racial category and that is accepted.

The only exception to this is Native Americans. Many 'Native Americans' are actually mixed race, but are still regarded as being Native American because they possess treaty status and live on reservations.
