What was the greatest movie theatre experience of your life?
Or list a few if you can't just pick 1.
For this decade, it was far and away watching Interstellar in IMAX. Absolutely incredible, and I just finished the Cosmos series at the time so I was all geeked out about space. Everything from Michael Caine's poem, "Do not go quietly into the night", to the first handshake, going into the black hole, docking, the library thing, aging several years an hour due to time dilation, fuarkkkk that movie took me for a trip man.

Another was 300. That movie was the most fukking alpha chit I have ever seen in my life. Every dude on screen was jacked as fuk, one guy is talking about wishing for a beautiful death, this dude kneels before Xerxes, just to set up an ambush/spear throw at the mothafukking king, holy fuk, I could've taken a mainline of pure test and HGH and it would have done less for me than watching that movie that night srs. Pure awesomeness.

Another was Armageddon. Very few movies could match the feels I felt when the lady is watching the TV when her son says "look mom, its the salesman!" and she says "no little Jimmy (or whateever that kids name was), that your father." Or when fukking Harry, pulls out Ben Afflecks air supply thing and sacrifices himself to save the world, too many fukking man tears boyos. I love space movies

Maybe you guys will call me a collosal ******* for this, but I was only 6 years old, and I was obsessed with the Titanic srs, I read books about it when I was a kid, was fascinated by the story of how it sunk, so when my folks took me to go watch it, it was an absolutely epic experience for me. Seeing the first real blockbuster movie on screen, seeing my first pair of teds (hnnnggg), learned how to be a cheeky kent from watching Leo get all the sloots wet, and holy fuk, when the **** started sinking, the whol last hour of the movie I was fukking IMMERSED in the Atlantic ocean, feeling cold, desolate, your imagination is really powerful when you are a kid srs. Incredible experience.

Interstellar blew me away as well. Every time I watch it I feel this odd sense of awe and amazement. Didn't see it in Imax though. The Martian was probably one of the best sci-fi/survival movie I have ever watched as well. That movie in Imax was incredible, you could feel his desperation in the audience. NASA worked closely on both films to make them as authentic feeling as possible.
However my best movie experience was seeing Doctor Strange in Imax 3D. It was so mesmerizing and just different. The cinematics of the city just folding on itself was surreal

He knew he could have gotten killed on that fight, but he was never afraid, he just wanted to avenge his best friend's death. He had everything against him yet he succedded with pure fukin will. Other dude was taller, on roids, at home, training with the best equipment and Rocky lifting his entire family and trainer up and down for shoulder press ups lmao.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Repped for Titanic cause I was about the same age and my rents debated for awhile whether to let me see that movie. Still to this day I consider that move "epic"
Def Interstellar was one where everyone walked out of theatre and just kept saying "Wow..."
But seeing Marley and Me in theatres was pretty interesting to. Remember I went with my ex gf and her family, i was getting misty eyed hard and was trying not to bawl at the end. Looked all around me and realized EVERYONE in the theatre was crying, dont think there was a dry eye in the entire place and it was packed. Could hear so many soft sobs or people sniffling.

Got an HJ when I was 16 watching Oceans 11 in a crowded theater by a chick whoโs birthday party I was attending.
Edit: also her parents were there (but a few rows behind us) and they paid for the tickets.

Any of the Rocky movies I saw in the theater were awesome, Rocky 3 in particular sealed my desire to lift for life. I'm old, so Friday 13th part 6 (I think?) came out Friday 13th that year, my friends and I rolled in late, had to sit on the front row and man what a night, people were nuts in there.
My buddy stood me up when I went to see Chuck Norris MIA 2, I was po'd but didn't want to waste the money so I saw it alone, turned out to be an awesome experience, pure testosterone fueled mayhem.
Saw My Chauffeur stoned, one of the first times I got high and I have no idea why my buddy and I didn't get kicked out, we were holding our sides laughing like someone from One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest.
One more- my wife and I stumbled on a dine-in movie theater in a nearby town, saw Gone in 60 Seconds while eating a reuben and downing a cold one, hnnnnnng. Angelina Jolie was looking pretty good and the boost scenes were spectacular.
Edit-sorry for the length, but saw a trilogy of Batman movies when the Dark Knight Rises had its opening night. Great time with my kid, great memories. Was in the theater until about 7:00 am, got out and my mom calls me telling me about the shooting in the CO theater. Crazy.

Saw Interstellar at biggest IMAX screen in the UK and had a panic attack (srs), Made it worse that was on my own surrounded by random people. Still a good movie but couldn't enjoy it.

In high school this theater in town had 50ยข movies on Tuesdayโs. It was always packed and people were usually drunk. We would go all the time regardless if the movie looked terrible or not.
One week they showed โthe animalโ starring rob Schneider. There is a scene where he is swimming like a dolphin or something. Some tradesman yells out โHA! Thatโd be awesome!!โ Really loud in the trashiest voice possible.
My best theater experience ever.

Two movies.
One I don't remember what it was buy it was in Disney land where I put 3d glasses on. It was 4-d so they had fans underneath the seat and **** that sprayed water on you. Idk if it was my imagination, but it legit looked like a snake popped out the screen. Not like 3d movies no where you look into the movie. Whatever it was, by far best experience i ever had in a theatre
Star Wars Episode 1 - I was a kid and it took 3 times to watch the movie becaus the first two times, the roll of film burned up. I was a HUGE star wars fan. Add the music from the darth maul fight and all the flipping moves and ****. By far my favorite star wars movie cause the emotional impact it had on me when i finally got to see it

Titanic - a great movie and still holds well today.
LOTR ROTK - Not much more needs to be said.
Saving Private Ryan - one of the GOAT war movie, if not the GOAT war movie. The Dday invasion on the big screen was incredible.
Avatar - not the greatest movie but visually it was outstanding in IMAX 3D. I usually hate 3D movies but this one was the exception.

Hmmm. Probably....The Matrix. To say I saw a movie in theaters and was legit blown away, it had to be that one. Every other "epic" movie from what I remember, I saw at home.
