Been sipping Buffalo Trace at my in-laws all weekend. I don't know guys, I know people love BT but I think it's just very ordinary. Nothing special about it really other than being cheap and available at any store.

It's fine - my neighbor has a bottle she got as a gift and she doesn't drink whiskey, so I've been working my way through her bottle when we go visit. It's made by whatever that big factory-style distilling operation is that's secretly behind a bunch of distilleries (srs) so whiskey hipster dorks hate on it for not being tr00. Tasty and cheap tho.

Fiancee went to Michael's and I told her to drop me off at Total Wine since I would have more fun there.

Picked up some McKenna 10 Bottled-in-Bond. This is an amazing buy for $28, and the best bang for your buck in bourbon, imo.

And a bottle of random scotch I've never seen or heard of. It was cheap so I figured why not.

Being anti-2nd Amendment is like saying "We have too many rights, please take some away!"

There are several blends I like. Monkey Shoulder, Sheep Dip, Black Bottle, Big Peat, just to name a few. Compass Box makes some fantastic blends as well.

Every now and then I'll just pick something up on the fly. If I'm surprised by it then that's great. If I don't care for it, well I didn't spend that much anyway.

Never had the Pike's Creek. Ancient Age is a cheaper substitute for Crown Royal - when I'm making drinks for a crowd that use Canadian Whiskey (Washington Apple etc) I usually go with AA instead. Not that Crown's expensive, but you always pay more for something imported.
