looks like fees for other coins are much lower, e.g. 3DOGE. Convert to DOGE, send DOGE to a cheaper exchange, then convert back to BTC and withdraw?

Stop sending BTC. You're paying high af fees with slow af transaction times wtf. Use ETH or LTC. It's like $2 and much faster. Mind is blown people are still moving money with BTC. The fees to convert from BTC to ETH and back are cheaper than the transaction fees.

Edit: ETH is slow these days so I would just use LTC if possible.

$4000 difference between bithumb and bitfinex... that's insane.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

I would normally but the only alts I'm holding now are a bit of LTC and mostly IOTA - IOTA is too low to sell right now and I use LTC for moving funds so hodling out of necessity.

use Quadriga or Kraken

so you gotta send your BTC from coinbase to one of those two

All the time. Especially when it's about to break a $1000 mark and looking good.

****ing ridiculous. When it was blasting past 14k Gemini had a 250BTC wall up and was losing......lol. If it wasn't going to take a day I'd be transfering to CB just to make the extra money. It's sizable.

Yikes. If you held this long through that I'd just stay. I'm loading up on alts right now. Thanks for the cheap stellar.

Just looked at the BTC list on Bittrex. That's a damn bloody mess. There is an average of a 20-25% drop.
