What impact do you guys think futures will have on BTC? Think it'll continue to moon or futures will end up tanking the price...wondering if holding btc is smart considering the 10th is but a few days away brahs

I don't think major Insto's can currently buy BTC. They have no way of storing it properly and don't offer it to their clients. Therefore there is no way for them to make money off it. At this point. There are some botique hedge funds however who are buying BTC and other alts. The size of their funds was estimated at about 2.3 billion. That's nothing.

Also, given the ledger is public, we would be able to see who is acquiring significant sums of BTC. See below:

You can look at the ins and outs of those public addresses and account for them being bitfinex, binance, coinbase etc, coinone, the Twins, etc.

If an insto was buying, it would be obvious and easy to track. That isn't clear at this point.

So my conclusion, no insto money is not involved on a large scale at this point. Which makes the future price of BTC give me a hard on. Srs

Additionally, the success of bitcoin could have 0 correlation with with the success of Iota. Iota could seek to be the data collection and distribution network of the world. They can co-exist and do two different things very well.

Great diversification for a crypto portfolio. I will be holding for the next 3 years no matter what.

Saw the first article about IOTA today in MSM...other articles about btc are bearish and 'bubble'ish....IOTA articles drop the name 'microsoft' in there and BOOM ... surely affiliation hype will let it grow a fair bit more int he medium-term, but bigger than btc? dunnoooooo bout that, it has such a head start. look at eth stalling now, too....

Understand what Iota is, and you will understand why i say that.

I also believe BTC will not be the future payment system of the world. I'm very much of the view it will be a digital gold. So I think BTC has a ceiling. Iota has no such ceiling.

Spend some time understanding it and you will understand what the hype is about.

But as i said, it needs to work. It still has issues. Plenty of great theoretical ideas!

Like I said yesterday, take a few weeks to research it and invest when the hype has cooled off if you still believe in the adoption of the technology. I need to study this "Tangle" idea.

Another question you must ask yourself is: even if the tech is great, will Microsoft etc. adopt it or not.

Short answer nobody knows. Logical answer no. The thing about crypto though is that it makes absolutely no fuking sense whatsoever. Companies valued at 100's of millions of dollars with only a rough outline of how the business will work.

I'm so new to this space lol

I bought bitcoin at 5600 and sold at 8200. Wanted to make and cash a 1k profit.

But now I'm trying to understand everyone a little more. My buddy told me about iota at .40 and I'm so shocked it went to $4.. crazy..

I wish I had bought in bitcoin when the misc was going crazy over it back in 2013 when it was $70
