TBH with that much BTC i wouldn't be cashing out all at once fook, 10 btc spread through the day at different prices and just fukin life, would equite to 50btc per week at roughly these prices and I'd just reap the benefits and pay the taxman his share and be out and about

Assuming they have a ton of money already from outside of crypto. Probably trading and acquiring for the thrill. Same thing can be said about Warren Buffet, like why even bother why not just retire? They live for this sh!t.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Brahs, I'm scared for futures launching monday. Are we going to get fuked and drop to $500-$2kusd? Feel like we're about to be shorted like the big short movie.

I understand nothing about futures, does this mean that the most they can profit from shorting is if the price drops 20%?

"Bitcoin will trade in $US25 ticks and have a daily range of no more than 20% above or below the prior settlement price."

So it's not really in their interest to crash it more than that, since they won't be able to profit? I could live with a 20% dip/crash

Ayo whoever made the ******** group can I at least be admin? I am the only one who posts and gives signals. Would love to be able to pin the signal of the day. While every alt trader got absolutely rekt, I just advised to close our only trade for a 25% gain on BTC. The signal was to buy BCH at .08BTC. It just hit .1

The numbers dont look bad on Bitdegree. $19mill marketcap IIRC. Pre-sale bonus was only 25%. Current ICO bonus 15%. Hype is usually the most important thing. It's got that already in his group alone

Only a 23% profit over the last 3 days. That's okay.

Cliffs from the UK this week:

Bitcoin was discussed on radio 5 live (prominent radio station)
Martin Money (has a prime time TV show giving money saving tips) issued a news letter/article on bitcoin
Grease monkeys in my friends garage where chatting about it, have never mentioned it before (anecdotal)

I really think we're at the start of the early adoption stage.

lamo, I remember this coming up four years ago in the first $1000 rush. Truth is you can never tell, charts are often fractal in a way and you can superimpose this over any part of it.

I think we're at the media attention phase. Which would make the first sell off either in Nov, or all the way back in 2013/14

scalability seems to be the main issue with any coin that has a growing user base.

Wasn't that the case with BTC though? Yet that has/is mooning.

I think most of us agree BTC will not be the currency it was originally intended, instead will be more akin to gold - a store of wealth, so which crypto will be the de facto currency?
