Mane. I did do a 180, but so would you if you hadn't been in the crypto game for a year then see BTC climbing to 6K, 8K (this is where I became a believer again), 10K etc. It would be crazy not to take a slice of the pie whilst I still could. Trading will never be this easy again. I'm a sh*t trader, but I think I have the ability to at least think logically about situations and not get caught up in fallacies or believe I'm amazing at trading because I happened to buy some BTC at 6K and it's now 16K or whatever.

It's also a proof-of-concept for digital service delivery w/ crypto. If you can do it with kitties, you can do it with software, digital items on games etc.

I like it, but I'd never invest in one personally - too infantile and it reminds me of Pets.com which died in the Dot-com bubble.

Maybe by page 50 of this thread you all will finally start to grasp the difference between trading for satosishs and USD

lol das it mane. I was hoping i would see more of your crypto kitties posts in here. The game actually looked pretty decent. There was another one after the DAO that had this virtual fish tank chit, almost dropped like 5 eth at the time on it. There was a point where i almost fat fingered 150 eth to the wrong address too.

Yeah, maybe this time by page 50 it'll become clear a satoshi isn't a fixed relative or continuously rising value and that trading for it is nonsensical unless it meets both those criteria. I suggest you come back from your Slack and ******** chats with endless lols then to realize this.

It's pretty fun tbh. I have about 3 pages of cats at the moment .

There is an addon that you can use to show an average price for your cat (https://github.com/HaJaeKyung/KittyExtension).

When I was first getting started with this game I accidentally fat fingered 20 eth to my meta mask wallet. I had never used meta mask and I was trying to test the transfer. Was ****ting myself also. Imagine losing 20eth now on a digital cat.

People are definitely making money on this.

Some big banks don't want anything to do with futures: Citi and JPMorgan to begin with, think it's too volatile/will turn into a sh*tshow.

Up a BTC today. Fiat value down about 5% with BTC at $12,800 at time of post

This is why you trade against satoshis. Hopefully btc drops down to 10K for a bit. baptize some "investors" in blood and let traders make back some btc's

If you breed a cat, are you generating more potential earnings out of thin air? (heard you can breed them too and get offspring).

Tempted to have a laugh with a few contracts on ether on IG markets
(Can't afford btc contracts, even a mini contract = exposure to 10 coins)
The feeling when I played around going short ETH in a demo account and am up 100% in fake money

Update on my intention to do some modelling - have successful scraped all historical daily price data for all coins on coinmarketcap, all nicely tabulated. Will spend the next week thinking about how I'll approach the modelling phase. Obvious features will be volatility, price change relative to the majors, volume relative to the majors, and changes in price/volume with respect to time. Should probably try and find a way to include a "notable event" indicator (forks, new exchange listing etc., but I don't know where to scrape this data?)
Will need to do some reading on LTSM neural networks too. Hopefully I can find more than random noise.

Edit: I wonder if I can also scrape google trends over time, given this is all mob behaviour I'm sure that'd be quite predictive...
Edit2: Worked out how to do this

You have to pay a transaction few to have them "breed" and you also incur an increasing cooldown for the cat that is the mother, but yeah basically.

Lol at some genius f*cker dropping his stack into Gen0 cryptokitties, doing the math on fees vs. breeding and tripling his ETH by selling them off.
