Better yet, it would allow for a crossover movie between Star Wars and the Predator franchise.

That scene confused the hell out of me. They shafted Finns character through the entire movie with a dumb subplot ... they're about to redeem it with self-sacrifice... would of made sense to get rid of the character at that point... and then they completely and utterly destroy any redemption with that stupid love scene.

Do you think the Rey’s parents reveal is a misdirect or the truth? Did JJ have a different plan and Rian took it another direction? I’m just having a hard time accepting that she is THAT strong with the force and not related to anyone. Obviously, you don’t need to be a Skywalker to be force sensitive but Luke says her raw strength rivals Kylo which is the only other time he’s seen it. In TFA, she won that mental battle against Kylo and then beat him in a lightsaber duel despite zero training. In TLJ, she sorta beat Luke with her staff when they had that spat and then she beat several members of Snoke’s elite guard. Something has to be up.

This is completely untrue actually. George Lucas said he had a direction and a ton of ideas for the next 3 movies, but they totally shut him out of the process and didn't want his input at all.

A movie isn’t good because it has lots of women and people in it. Pissing on the original trilogy with dumb decisions that don’t fit the character of the character is not good storytelling. Mary Sue’s are not a good story telling tactic.

No one is going to be watching these ****ty movies with fond memories in 30 years like they do with the original trilogy because they’re vastly inferior.

Been a long time since I've walked out of movie and legit been upset that I spent money to see it. The prequels had their flaws, but I honestly feel like this movie just ruined the whole story of Luke Skywalker. The way he ended was so anticlimactic and not fitting of his character

Wtf are they gonna do for the final episode? They killed off the most interesting characters, and Rey has yet to battle anysort of hardship. We're gonna have a final battle between kylo and Rey? We've already seen that in force awakens, and Rey won without any sort of training lol.

Such a dumb direction they decided to take

Luke was sooo useless in this movie. No revelations no shockers nothing. The guy did f'n nothing. THen he died.

No wonder Mark is so pissed. They even neutered Skywalker and had have his butt kicked by a 20 year old villager girl.

The ironic part about his post is it's his political bias preventing him from seeing just how far downhill this franchise has gone. Certain people like to be SJW, theythinkthat the criticism of the movie "must be because we don't like women in movies" right? How ridiculous is that. How about it's because the franchise is nowhere near as entertaining as they used to be, and it wasn't about politics until recently.

If only he didn't have his blinders on, he'd see that the criticism is fair. The series, the most beloved series probably of all time is failing hard and this is coming from myself and most close friends who are left leaning as well. The series is now directed towards children and feel-good political ideals instead of genuine storytelling. The success they're having is mostly due to the iconic older movies from the past and people just hoping it returns to what it used to be.

The older Star Wars were so much more captivating it was insane.

This. I dont even mind the idea of killing Luke, but the way they killed him put the final nail in the coffin for me that this movie was trash. If there was an epic ending with Luke showcasing all his powers in an epic battle and saving everyone before dying, then I would having given this movie a pass. But nope, he died from....... exhaustion? Idk why he even died exactly. There was no rhyme or reason for him to.

Just got back from seeing this movie, and I feel like Disney has legitimately ruined Star Wars. Luke's ending was such garbage that I have no intention of seeing Episode 9 now.

Skywalker did dikk in this movie. He was useless. THen he died. What a letdown. Snoke. Letdown. Superwoman Leia is obviouly dead too.

JJ better think of something amazing or it'll be 2 1/2 hours of Rey kicking butt then killing Kylo. Yawn.

Oh and LAST jedi means last "mithochloridian" jedi. There will always be tons of fake jedis forever who just "believe in the force" and can kick any real jedis butt.
