1. Why get a hotel? Why not spend 10$ on an Uber? This is fishy AF.

2. The fact you didn't hear from her all night is cause for concern. Ever met a girl at a club/bar who didnt pull out her phone every 10 mins? Me either.

3. She may not have done anything questionable, but she doesn't respect you.

I know bros that some will say I’m insecure and some will say I have every right to do this.

The reason why I texted her what I did is because that’s what truly was on my mind.

Overall we bang every time we see each other and she is always down to do the nasty and does clean my condo as well once in a while.

At first I let it go and wasnt mad but as the day went on my gut felt off.

So it makes me insecure and controlling for saying how I feel about it? Or would it be better to stay quiet and star seeing other females? Cuz I focus on one female that’s my gf unless I’m single then I have multiple ones at all times

Obv probably did some things you would have ended it over, maybe even a 3-way. She said she'd get ahold of you but never did and got a hotel room with friends, then add in drinking. What do you think happened OP? Bc it isn't that hard in 2017 to send a text or make a phone call and keep your word. She is now saying "I luv you" because she knows she phucked up if she didn't cheat, and is just trying to cover her a$$ if she did cheat.

This is why I asked misc to see this whole thing from a different view.

She does love dancing with gfs being she is Latin but the whole hotel things throws me off and like you said it’s real easy to send a simple text which takes 10 seconds.

You and your girlfriend are still your own person, separate people, you are free individuals - no matter if in a relationship, married, friends or whatever. You two have to grant yourself freedom, you are not each other's guardian and or prisoner. If you refuse to change your ways towards your girlfriend, you will hurt people, yourself included, and lose every possible relationship now and in future.

She mentioned she wants to go for a girls only night for her birthday and get a hotel with them.

Here is our text convo the next day after she called me in the morning and applogized.

Me:Hey, I want you to have fun with your friends but I don’t feel good about you not checking in with me last night. I don’t think it’s right and it makes me feel disrespected. Especially if you are gonna go out drinking and dancing and get a hotel.

Her: I’m sorry I was tired and fell asleep.

Me: I know you can say you’re sorry but this issue needs to be addressed with actions because we had this conversation before.

Her: I promise it won’t happen again love please don’t be mad

Me: I’m not mad it just really disappoints me when this happens because I trust what you tell me.

Her: But babe I was gonna call you

Me: I know but you didn’t.

Her: I’m sorry.
(I don’t reply)
Her: I love you

Me: I know that you keep telling me that but actions speak louder then words and I just want you to respect what I say because I’m putting a lot of effort into our relationship.

So she hasn’t replied yet cuz she sleeping and I work nights.

I just feel disrespected and I can’t accept it.

Am I over reacting or handling it good bros?

Just need to get it off my chest cuz my gut doesn’t feel right.

What do you bros think?
Do not text people when you have an issue with them. Call them or see them face 2 face.

Text doesn't convey emotions like a person's voice and body language does. It's easy to lie when texting.

I don’t think your gf respects you at all, tbh. Even if she just got tired and fell asleep (doubtful) you still had to text her.

All you should say to her is “words without action mean nothing.” If she doesn’t do anything to sufficiently make up for disrespecting you, let her go.

She called in the morning at 8am the next day and texted me that she loved me first.

Then I sent those texts

If she hadnt done anything questionable, she would be standing her ground.

Shes caved and apologized because she wants you getting past and forgeting this ASAP.

So that call was so unsatisfying that you had to text her after it? Says it all doesn’t it?

Update:

She called me and said she was sorry.

I told her it take 10 seconds to send a text and said it doesn’t make sense getting a hotel and I don’t approve of that.

She said only reason she got a hotel is cuz some of her co workers came out and work the next day and the hotel was next to their job (which it was).

Then I told her she needs to respect me and she kept saying she’s sorry and then we both had an awkward pause for 1 Mom and she said she will let me go so I said ok bye and hung up.

But maybe I’m over thinking but my gut is off.

She texted me again saying she loves me and to not be mad after we hung up. I’m just no replying right now man...

This. I'm not sure why people here are giving OP **** for being remotely suspicious. It takes so little time to send a text. Especially if you say this isn't the first time you've had this problem with this girl.

What gets to me is that so many people can't change perspectives in these situations. If I went out with my single buddies, got drunk, etc. and never contacted my girlfriend that night I'd understand why she would be upset. For that reason I would make an effort to do it.

OP

Power dynamic is way off in your relationship. Your GF needs to understand that your expectations are not to be ignored, bent or broken.

This isn't controlling, its having boundaries/limits and sticking to them.

She wont respect your boundaries unless you do first.

Not to beat a dead horse but jesus H, THIS, op.

Something makes me also wonder if one of her "co-workers" wasn't actually a dude, or even both of them. Figure it out. Good luck.

Work party...gets a hotel....doesn't check in with you. Come on bro....even her new excuse doesn't make sense. So some coworkers got a hotel cause it's near their job.....and? She can still go home can't she?

I mean, I don't know how long you've been going out etc. but if it's a while you're probably going to want more proof before you have the guts to end it. So...time to investigate. Snapchat? Instagram? ********? Start searching through all of these, not only your girlfriend's but also the other coworkers that were there.

She said she got the hotel a week before as well.

Dude girls are on their phone NON stop. She couldn't send a 5 second text?

Why get a hotel? Just uber home. It'll be cheaper and puts all relationship stresses to rest. She doesn't respect your relationship enough for that. I wouldn't give a single fuk if my gf came home drunk at 4 am. I'd trust her that she was just out late having a fun time with her gfs. But not coming home at all is sketchy. Why the need to sleep outside the home after a nigh of drinking?

I'd dump her, OP. Maybe she didn't do anything wrong but why give yourself a headache. Get a girl that doesn't do this kind of stuff that defies common sense. Then you won't have to stress over wondering what did or did not happen.

Damn this post opened up my eyes to my own behavior in my relationship. I don't even tell my gf of 2 years I'm going out sometimes, nor do I text her I've arrived home when she does know. She however let's me know majority of the time and also let's me know she's home without me asking. I definitely need to start doing that though. I can see from your reaction how concerning it is, although I've never brought or went home with another girl. The hotel is just suspicious. I remember a girl I was dating went out and was texting me throughout the next then went silent, then called me at like 3am apologizing and saying she thinks something bad happened with a guy. Long story short she got super drunk and fcked him. Your girl is apologizing and saying I love you a lot, she's definitely feeling guilty about something. If my gf was to bring up me not letting her know I returned home after I promised I would, I'll apologize once and tell her it wouldn't happen again if I didn't cheat. The constant "I love you " and apologizing should cause you concern buddy. And thank you for this post. I'll help me be a better bf.

Glad it could help man. It sucks to be in this position because you come off as an annoying insecure dude when you are really just irritated and going with your gut.

I know people are cringing here and saying I’m a control freak but I’m going with my gut and staying true to how I really feel which is what I tell her.

There's not much more to do. She's apologized for it. It's childish to continue to be butthurt at this point, or at least to show that you're butthurt. You don't know if something else happened or not, but you do know she disrespected you. You told her. She apologized. Either accept her apology and move on... or dump her.

If you accept her apology, file this incident away in the back of your mind. It's strike 1 for sure. I don't know if she's got other strikes against her and I don't know how many strikes you're willing to allow, but this should be on the list of strikes she's earned. Don't bring it up again, but don't forget it either. Her actions going forward will tell you whether she's sincere about being sorry, or if she's only sorry because you called her out on her bad behavior.

I'm tempted to tell you my own story about "girls nights out and hotel rooms", but I think some of the miscers above have already awared you about what that often means.

If your "gf" got a hotel for her birthday, and wasn't looking forward to hotel sex with you, I got bad news for you brah...

...the question isn't does she respect you, it's how many times cheating on you is ok in her mind...

Update:

I called her and told her she did not meet my expectations and it made no sense that she got a hotel.

She said said she did nothing wrong except for not contacting me and apoligized and said she loved me.

I told her I have set standards for when I’m with a gf and she needs to respect them.

She said it won’t hapoen again.

I’ve been with her since February and official in June.

I have to make a decision if I give her another chance or cut my losses short.

PS: I used to go out and go hunting a lot and met many girls who had bfs and even husbands so that’s why I’m paranoid. I got tired of being a player cuz that life style is empty and expensive. Being single is easier for me but relationships suck. If you are a real player you will know what I’m talking about.

If she wanted to hang with them and then come back, cool. But getting a hotel and staying out with them? O_o ... err yea, you goofed.

Gather up your dignity and let her know this is NEVER to happen again. And that if she wants to hang overnight with her homies, she can do it as a single lady.
This OP. Disregard the cucks telling you other wise. Srs

Did you not notice the no avi to cuck mentality ratio?

Either way, it’s a matter of respect not trust. If this is a problem for you, man the fuk up and tell her, if you can’t come to a compromise then why still be in the relationship?
