It's actually a crazy achievement that Arnie had the incredible acting career that he had despite his terrible acting. Many guys who where 1000% better actors never got close to having the career he had.

Walking Tall and The Rundown are probably his best movies.

The modern day action heroes, vin diesel, the rock, etc etc aren't fit to shine arnold's shoes,stallone and willis were far better than them as well. Also action movies today are pussified. There was one film, I think it was 'end of days' , where arnies acting does get some praise. But generally he carried movies with his charisma and presense.

Terminator 2 was one of the most successful films ever made.

Acting didn't matter so much with Arnold, it was all about the charisma and screen presence he had. Any negative stuff like his accent/rough English only endeared him to people further.

Arnold was also a legendary bodybuilder, and a governor. Let's not pretend he didn't accomplish anything. Dude is an inspiration. Yeah, he cheated on his wife. Whatever. Dude is still pretty phucking legendary. And his prime physique was the definition of god tier.

Arnold is superior to the Rock, and the Rock seems like a pretty awesome dude. So, that should tell you something. As far as action heroes go, there will never be anyone who tops Arnold. GOAT
